Vader MPP lightsabers details and specifications

I just checked on mine... and the Length of the 'D' Ring is 1 3/8" X 7/8" That's actual taken measurements that I JUST Did from mine!
They used pretty much the same 'D' Ring on all of the DV Lightsabers through out.

Is that the same as the d-ring Roy provides for the ANH Luke build?

roygilsing You getting just your ESB MPP shroud D-ring back in stock soon?

Well, that's a story: somebody arranged and cut a batch for me and I made the payment. Now the parts didn't arrive and he doesn't respond to any of my mails or messages. It looks like I'm ripped.
So I have to source them somewhere else.
You might even know the person.

Oh, my word! I am so sorry to hear that, Roy. Dishonesty and dishonorable behavior is a black mark on our community. Those who practice this kind of behavior must be banned and blocked where ever they are found.

Well, that's a steaming pile of horse-puckey.

Do the ESB rings work for the ANH Vader?

Thanks! Is there a resource for repros of that ring?

I don't know of any specific vendor that sells accurate ANH Vader ring,

But there are bazillion drings in all shapes and sizes online,
So you might wanna refer to this image and pick the one you think is the closest.

what a shame...

apparently the clamp was going to be sent with it but it was a bit deformed. I wasn't too worried about it.
Now, I think this is pretty expensive too! but that is the super rare and wanted large B hole version with a one step shroud, that explains the price, it's pretty rare and a few people wanted it right now.

Ebay prices are not always making sense, it's really about the day the thing sell and if a few people really wanted it or not.
We've seen that a great number of time with kalimar cameras, converted graflexes. MPP are more rare so it was to be expected that this one would fetch a crazy price on ebay.

Side story. it also happens often that people will not pay for the items they won, even the second person in line sometimes and items like that will actually sell for less. I'm not saying it's always the case of course ;)

I hope we will not see 3 or 4 people suddently selling MPPs for 4000usd on the rpf starting tomorrow like what happened with the kalimars. this event should not, must not set a new market price. o_O

$5000 is the market price for MPPs these days,
as I've seen quite a few sell for this price recently.

If that Ebay MPP was a normal single-step shroud MPP without any issues, I bet it would fetch close to $10,000

Also, the shroud thumbscrew appears to be non-MPP and borrowed from some other camera gear.

That mpp had a giant dent. The shroud was oversized and in poor shape. It could be a repo shroud. It doesn't have the three rings in the bottom. Etc. Basically the only thing it did have was the large b bort. It was not worth 5500. And as much as i respect zips opinion, he seems to be the mpp finder these days. 10000 would be ridiculous. 5000 is ridiculous. just my 2 cents.
