Sorry can't help you directly but if you run a RPF search for "vendetta" there might be some help in older threads.

hey, i should hopefully be doing this costume too for a few functions later this year. :)

for the doublet, i found this place from another forum: V for Vendetta Cosplay,Suede Jacket (C00242)

it's a pretty accurate replica, but also a bit pricey (for me at least). i plan on getting some heavy black curtains and using those for the doublet and maybe the cloak.

i do need some help with the mask, though. i've found a variety of masks that i would like to buy, but i really would like it to be cheaper than £30. here's the ones i like the look of:

KINEVE BN V.For.Vendetta. Mask Halloween Decoration on eBay (end time 27-Oct-10 18:04:56 BST)

V for Vendetta Mask Masquerade Halloween Prop Props on eBay (end time 23-Oct-10 02:48:41 BST)

Venice Carnival Masks-Mardi Gras Party Mask

(i live in the UK if it's any help)
any opinions on these? also, if anyone has the cheaper rubies mask, may you please post pictures and reviews (and dimensions, if possible) to help me make my desicion?

thanks :)

I've got the Rubies V mask, and its got its good points and bad. I find that the mask is a little oversized, for me at least, I'm 5'8 and the chin/jaw sits a fair way lower than my own. the forhead also looked strange with the wigs bangs over the top. if you're a larger guy, it may look better on you.

Detail wise its fantastic, its a thinish plastic, but still pretty sturdy, I've had mine for a few years, and the plastic's held up well, Paint is pretty good, but the overall colour is a little too cream coloured.

hey, thanks for the info Cbstudios. :) any chance of some pictures of you wearing it with/without wig & hat? thanks again

It's now 2016 and I can't seem to get a good view of Guy Fawkes cape at the neck. Can someone please hook me up with some info or a pic. What have YOU used? A hook, a tie, velcro, a button...?

I need to decide FAST for this Halloween.

THanks!!!

Appears to be a concealed hook, at least on the crowd costume pic attached. Also attached some others, lightened in PS.

Thanks, Mike. And now I'm more convinced there is no collar as well. I'll probably go with that. I just went through the movie again and didn't see any good views that weren't in the dark.V wig 1.jpg

Yeah, there's no collar on the cloak, I don't think. He has a tall, tight collar on his shirt or whatever that goes all the way up to the jaw.

I skimmed the film, and this was the best shot I could find, obviously heavily lightened. This is from the fingermen fight in the alley. His cloak is thrown back over one shoulder but not the other, exposing what appears to be some kind of glossy, black ... fastener. You can see in the promo stills that the cloak has a smooth lining and a coarser exterior fabric, but if you can find an off-the-shelf cape that's wide enough to cover your front, you can just cut the collar off or tuck it inside, under the cape.

This really helps, Thanks! Now I need to find someone willing to let go of a DC Direct cast mask =)
