    Hi guys,

here's the new PADD I finished yesterday for my friends from the USS Haven in Central Florida (USS Haven NCC-55459).

Did you cut the snake-and-rod icon yourself, or was that done by machine?

If you mean the medical aesculap logo on the back, that is cut by hand. The single layers of the PADD were cut with a high pressure water jet at this company:

    Aqua-Jet-Jubile

It's not cheap but the cutting job is excellent and I could never be that precise with my hands.

Oh, so that's what they call it...

Very good stuff. I know what you mean about CNC cutting, though. At some point, accept no substitute.

BTW: For the aesculap logo I used my font "DingTrek - The Text Generation" Fonts by Dietrich Kerner | dafont.com

I printed the logo mirror reversed on the back of the white self-adhesive vinyl.

    Thanks enan, you're correct.

Just like the most PADDs in Star Trek, it doesn't light up. But you can slide up the display for easy exchange.

    Keep on trekking
