Upgrading my Bane costume

Hey all.... decided since I had so much fun putting my BANE costume together... gonna use it again next year... but going to upgrade it throughout the year... started already, getting a NEW and much more screen accurate gauntlet for the costume.. what do you guys think?

Looks great! Can't wait to see what changes you make and what mask you decide to go with. Seems the only really amazing screen-accurate mask out there is the one Todd Cook makes. I'm hoping more talented people start their own screen-accurate runs on Bane masks. Definitely a high-demand thing right now, it seems.
 
Looks good and hope you don't mind if i say this but you should also work on another project. You have a good likeness! I'll take the pic down if you don't want it here.

Do you have a shot of the palm of the guantlet. I know Bane's had no thumb extensions but just a hole cut for his thumb to go through
 
Thanks guys!!! And thanks to you SLEA!! I never thought about bullseye before! LOL!

Went with the BIG upgrade for the mask...and invested in a Todd Cook designs mask! It just came today..and I LOVE IT!! Great feel to it and it looks awesome! The gauntlet does have a slight extention on it...but it feels and fits real good... so I may just leave that one alone. But I am thrilled with this mask!!

Hey RDMaul! Not sure if I will go so far as to cover up the tats.... tho I am seriously considering it. I guess it depends on what I can find that will work well... and whether or not I will be wearing the long bomber jacket or not. Actually considering going with the shorter black leather jacket he also had in the movie.. just to mix things up a little. Also not sure about covering up the tats for the reason I dont know if I want makeup smearing on the vest or jacket that I wear... I will still think about that.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of Todd for the mask. It is awesome and I was stunned in amazement when I first saw yours!!! Will be looking for an upgrade to the boots, or a way to put the leather straps on the ones I have already..... maybe a new coat... and def would like to upgrade the vest! One thing at a time.... BUT real happy with the gauntlet and especially the mask so far!!!

I don't know if you have the means or not but some US Marine tankers and US Army tankers I served with wore special boot that are tan and already have the straps on them. Not really screen accurate but the general idea is there. I don't know if there is a special name for them because we always just called them tanker boots.

Guys getting out always throw gear they don't want on Craigslist and Ebay a lot of the time. They will try to keep the price high but you can usually talk them down since all the gear is doing is taking up space in the closet.

Awesome mask!

Just got my Bane costume today! Suprise present from the girlfriend! Problem is my mask is just too tight... crushing my nose and face!

Anyone know of a maker with a "larger" scale mask? I have a 24.5 inch head, I can get the mask on, but boy is it tight....

Thats the guys stuff, very very happy with it! just need a bigger mask, or scratch build one! boots and a jacket (cos I dont have Bane arms! lol)
 
Ok... hope these get as good of a laugh from all of you as it did from my kids... I unveiled the new Todd Cook mask with them and combined christmas morning with just a touch of BANE. LOL!!! They actually loved it and got a huge kick out of it... hope you all get a good laugh from these too!

I have been waiting for someone to do that haha!!! Looks great can't wait to see the finished upgrade!
 
Have been looking and hunting around...but havent had much luck finding any upgrades for my vest. Not that I dislike the one I have..but I def would like to get a more accurate one. I know that SIQ clothing does a great one... but after my new mask Not sure if I can swing that big of an upgrade.... if anyone knows of any vests being sold or made..please let me know? Thanks to all!!
 
Anthony the mask looks great on ya, you could always use reel creations makeup to cover the tats up. They used for Ray Park for Darth Maul and that stuff doesn't come off or rub off easily. Look into it its applied with a airbrush and they have flesh tones
