Under the Dome TV Series Discussion

I enjoyed it. However, that feeling will quickly subside if TOO much of the plot/storyline is spent on that cliche butthurt-crazy-wannabe-boyfriend-toughguy-nancyboy-stalker-kidnapper-criminal-mastermind guy, who apparently has everyone but the kidnapp-ee totally fooled.
 
Just watched it tonight and being a King fan I enjoyed it greatly. Cell would be good too! I'll give it a watch for sure.

I disliked that charatcer so much I was hoping he would have tried to stab that guy in the field....only to get shot by him.
 
Ugh. I LOVE Stephen King's work and for the most part I am ok with his take on this... but one of the things I said after watching the first episode was "I hope they don't change the source of the dome." Now that King has confirmed they have indeed changed the source of the dome, I am really bummed because I thought that was one of the best and most expected parts of the story. Really, really put off by this. :(
 
This reminds me of when the changed a bunch of stuff in The Stand, it didn't matter in the end but it made it feel different at times.
 
Always a shame to see movies/tv shows to veer off from the source, but its nice to see others interpretations.
 
Wha whaaaaahhhh.... Episode 2 was a stinker in my book and that doesn't bode well for this story. They packed so much into the first episode that this one fell very flat and gave us very little in the way of anything new. Very disappointed. :(
 
that boyfriend guy, is the worst actor ever. i do not believe anything he says. everytime hes on screen, i have to switch away cause i cant bear him

also: wtf i mean why would they not know its a dome? why did they have to broadcast it? i mean a plane crashed in it, and everyone knows.
very slow episode with needless fillers

He is completely over the top, for sure and it is a shame that they dont give youany explanation for why he is the way he is. He is such a pivotal character to the story that I feel deserves more. :(
 
Well, it didn't really suck, but it wasn't exactly stellar. I think the whole point of the episode was to whittle the local police force down to one, probably to necessitate the deputization of Soldier-Boy/Killer.
 
I recorded this and finally watched the first two episodes last week. All along I kept thinking "EPA, EPA!" The only thing missing is Spider Pig/Harry Plopper. But hat is a natural raction I guess.
I really hate some of he plot points so far. The major ones being:
- Lets have the entire fire department go to a parade in another city. This while it hasn't rained in a long time and everything is, to quote the hot editor, "a tiderbox".
- Only one city commissioner stays in own while, again, the rest of them and the mayor are at said parade.
- Good thing we have all this propane from the secret drug lab the commissioner and priest were running.
