i have an iron man suit and i want to get involved in stuff like this how would i go about it ?

I do charity events for these and other groups. Look up your local groups and send them emails. They're always looking for entertainers for walks, bike-a-thons, and other events.

The American Cancer Society, Relay For Life and Bike-A-Thons
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
Kidzfest for Pediatric Heart Disease, Cancer, and Premature Birth
Alex’s Lemonade Stand

love it!!! Cap costume looks quality!!!

also congrats on the charity work! I would like to do that sort of thing here.... when my friend finishes our movie Ninja Turtles costume I would like to do the Christmas Toy runs at local hospitals... basically try and collect a load of toys through donations then take them to the hospital in full Turtle outfits and give them out to the kids on the Childrens Ward..

i really love the thought of doing some charity work in my suit we just dont have that many big events going on. i live in Belfast northern Ireland there's not allot of really big events going down out here ill have to keep a look out for anything coming up

You don't need big events. Just contact your local hospital and volunteer.
The kids will be happy to have you visit.

Edit:
The hospital may ask that you get a background check and fill out some forms.
For your first meeting have photos of the costumes you and your friends want to wear.
Some characters can have the opposite of the intended effect. IE The Mask can be quite scary to little ones....and don't be surprised if the hospital requests no prop weapons.

i didnt think you could just phone the hospitle and voluntear thats a good idea i really want to give back and do something good with my suit this is a nice thread guys

Awesome! I also belong to the East Coast Avengers on Facebook. They do charity events as groups. Maybe there's a group like them in your area.

oooooh I may do that and see if they want a Ninja Turtle to come cheer up the kids... wont be till end of the year though when it's finished.

I don't think my Cap America is good enough for charity work although it did go down well at London Film and Comic Con.

Your costume is good enough.
The only thing and it is minor... may want to do an Irishlad/Kevin Gossett steel sled shield (cheaper) or Chris Fields spun aluminum (expensive).

thanks guys.......

I think I will wait for my Ninja Turtle one to be finished and then do it with that :)
