It was just a yoga mat and measured and cut to my size then I used a yellow foamie sheet cut into strips and pva glued onto it.... then a ton of acrylic paint (had to layer it on really thick to get a good covering)

People really dont care for Scott Summers do they lol!!

Well I think it's great! I'm sure the more you come along with it the more comments you'll get. I'm just now starting to get a little more reception on the Freeze build.

That's a great idea with the foamy and acrylic, I've been looking for plastic looking belts for a while for my shoulders on Freeze.

Almost finished with the visor... 95% done... here is some pics of the lighting on it, I just need to box off the bottom to stop the light escaping on my cheeks...... I have to have it all done for the convention 2 weeks on Sunday so not long now....

Very good job, one of the best Cyclops visors I've seen
The way you managed to balance the drawings proportions with the real human head proportions is very good, other comic visors our ther look akward and bulky in real life, yours looks badass. Congrats! Waiting to see the rest of the costume.

Looks great! What did you do for the lights? How did you manage to mount them without blinding yourself? Any chance you can show a pic of them from the inside?

Great job bro. I've got an X-Men trilogy cyclops visor. I'm trying to put the rest of the costume together from the movie. Anybody have any leads? I found a few places that make the suit but need some feedback.

Thanks guys....
The lighting in the visor is single LED lights, mounted on the little inside ledge, I will get a pic of the inside for you when I am back home... I wore this at 2 cons now and it went down pretty well.... here are some pics, first con I just went full spandex suit, second con I wore combats over the bottoms.

No I didnt sort Jean out coz my missus opted out of the convention unfortunatley gonna be working on a Lara Croft from Cradle of Life for her.... the grey swimsuit version
