Ultimate Iron Man WIP

Started working on the Ultimates version of Iron Man using files made by Lo_techStark and unfolded by BenStreeper.

So far, I've about finished the helmet, resined the chest, abdomen, shoulder and gauntlet (still need more coats of resin and to add cloth inside) and I have pepped a foot and bicep and am beginning a grieve.

Awesome! I'm excited to see how this turns out. Nice to see someone doing something other than the movie costume(s). Great progress so far.

Thanks. That's why I chose this one instead. Do we really need ANOTHER movie Iron Man? LOL I've had the files printed out for quite a while now and I just recently decided to work on it. Gives me something else to do when I get frustrated by my Cap helmet. LOL I'm the type that will have several projects going at once. Helps keep my interest. When I get frustrated or sick of one, I move to the next for a while.

I repainted the helmet. I didn't care for the gold I had so I went and bought a different shade. Now I need to mask it off and redo the red again.

Here's the new paint scheme. I think it looks much better than the last time around.

Did a bunch of resining today. Did up the inside of the chest, gauntlet, abdomen plate and shoulder. I also applied the first coat of resin to the foot and bicep/upper arm. Tomorrow, I plan on adding cloth to the chest, ab plate, gauntlet and shoulder and hitting up the insides of the other pieces with resin and adding the cloth to them if I have time. I also hit up the helmet with clear coat. Really brought out the gold.

Finished pepping one of the shins last night. Haven't been able to do much resin work due to weather issues, so I figured I'd get back to assembling the pep models.

Started working on the accents for the shin last night. This gives it the knee cover portion and the lip thing that goes around the bottom of the ankle area. Once I'm finished, I'll take pics of it.

Accents added to the shin. I set it up with the partially resined foot to get an idea of how it'd look. Starting on the thigh now to get one full, complete leg.

Pepped at least. Weather has been less than cooperative for resining and sanding. That and I think the motor on my Mouse died. Guess I'll need to get a new one.

I figure I can at least finish pepping it until then. So far I have this left to go: Right thigh, right shin, right shin accents, right foot, right shoulder, right bicep, right gauntlet and the cod piece. Currently working on the right foot.

I find it good to just find a TV series on Netflix and just rip through a season of episodes as I do my pep work. For me, it's currently "Destination Truth". LOL Prior to that it was "Weeds", then the original "Battlestar Galactica".

i hear you, here it has been raining for 2 weeks straight, and all i can do is pep. i also watch full seasons while doing so allmost finished with "reaper" very nice work btw, where can i get the files?
