UK Based ABS/Extruded Tubing Suppliers (for SA Rocketeer Pack)

I am hoping to start work on an accurate Rocketeer backpack.

Thanks to a fellow member here I now have some screen accurate pack measurements, but have discovered that the ABS tubing I bought for the job a few years ago is too small (146mm) and I need abs/extruded tubing with an OD of 185mm.

I have phoned my closest supplier EMA model supplies in Shepperton, but they have told me that the tubing manufacturer is no longer producing tubing between 146mm and 200mm.

I have a quote from Tabot Designs for a 2 metre length of 185mm (OD) at £223 but that's awfully high comparred to the EMA tubing a bought a few years back....

If this is what screen accurate dimensions will cost I'll pay it, but I wonder if anyone here can anyone here in the UK point me in the direction of an alternative supplier/manfacturer ?

What is the wall thickness of the EMA tubing?
How about getting the 200 mm tubing and changing it to 185mm? Either:
- cut away a lengthwise gap, 47 mm wide and weld together with plastic welder with the cut-away strip to support it on the inside or:
- cut a lengthwise slit, glue with a overlap and smoothen the edge with putty.

They do all sorts of sizes, and are much less expensive then a lot of other suppliers.
