Im seriously considering getting the UC Witch King helmet, always loved the character! Has anyone got it? Whats its build like etc. Want to know whether its worth the price.

Cheers

Ya know, I owned one of these, and as cool as it was, there was just something I didnt like about it. It was a little too large, especially displayed next to the Sauron Helm. Also, the Sauron Helm does a good job of looking metal, but I didnt get the same feeling with the Witchking one. If it were cheaper I probably would have bought it when they started producing them again, but not for $300-$400.

I haven't seen the UC helmet in person, so I can't really be of any help with your question.

But I'd like to see someone attempt a bust of the character as he was described in the book: crown, eyes glowing like coals, and face and head otherwise invisible. It was one of the few things that disappointed me (just a little) in the movie, but I suspect that they had a good rationale for doing it the way they did. Most of the changes they made had some good thinking behind them.

I don't know if they offer it anymore but back before they took my suggestion to recreate the Witch-King Morgul Knife, Kropserkel offered a full metal Witch-King Helm...

The UC witchking is an incredible piece - one of my most favorite of my entire collection.

It is a large and commanding piece - and you do need quite a bit of space to display it.

Yeah sure, it's not made of metal, and you can tell - however the sculpt, paintjob and weathering, imho, are great and really made the piece look as real as it could get.

Here's mine on display.....

Dont get me wrong, I think its a great piece too - I just found it to be a little large/overbearing compared to other LOTR pieces. When I had one, it was the focal point of my LOTR items because of the size. However, it was far from my favorite character. I think that unbalance in my own mind is what made me dislike it. G17RDY, you have things nice and spaced out, and looks nice and proportionate the way you have it :thumbsup

Great, thanks for the opinions guys! Appreciate it. I think youve made my mind up for me G17RDY :D
