still adding small stuff, beadlocks, stabilizers, rudders. taking stuff on and off to adjust constantly. this is the really fun part. Extremly rewarding at this point, and having the best time ever. Handles well so far. many more pics to come.

I've sat here for over 6 minutes wondering how to respond and honestly I still don't know what to say. This is probably the greatest replica I've ever seen. And what makes this so incredible is the fact that you built this from scratch. Monumental feat.

Bravo, sir...BRAV-O! :thumbsup

I thought "oh, this must be an R/C thing."

Those pictures suck but what an outrageous project!
Totally awesome!
How about a video of it?
Please keep posting progress.

Re: Tumbler up and running

Whoa! What are the dimensions of that beast?! Also can it be driven on the road? Great job :)

Re: Tumbler up and running

it only took 2 seconds for me to think of what to say....CAN I HAVE IT?

Re: Tumbler up and running

If I won the powerball lottery, I would make it a point to have a tumbler made. :lol

One of the coolest vehicles I think have ever built.

Re: Tumbler up and running

Looks amazing!

Do you wear the suit while driving it? :lol

Well as stated by other members, what to say?
WOW BRAVO FANTASTIC etc.
First off I love the Tumbler! It was one of those designs I was skeptical about when I first saw the promo shots but once I watched the film I found it to be a fantastic fit and a really COOL car! But to actually take the time, effort and money to build a full size version is mind blowing to me...my BanDai model is still in the box, upstarted!
Also, I second the request of Vaderman, can you post a video of it being driven down the street? I think in motion is when this car looks the best!
Secondly, I took the time to wander around your site (too anyone who just looked for the Tumbler and exited do yourself a favor and go back). The pieces I saw there blew my mind!
The Chris Reeves full sized Superman, Batman's full sized Alfred, and the "darn wish I had one of those" Pam Anderson Bust (watch that top button doesn't put anyones eye out) are so life like in skin tone, skin texture, hair.......WOW!
Anyway, as I looked over your site I came to the conclusion that you MUST work in the movie industry as a prop designer, builder or something along those lines! If not then Hollywood is short a fantastic "artist"!
As a final personal "tip of the hat" I have bookmarked your site and plan on looking in frequintly!
Best of luck, Petseal

Re: Tumbler up and running

Looks good....but what did you use for a base for the car?? You imply that it runs but I see absolutely no drivetrian or suspesion going to those super swampers in the back. I wanna see pics of the motor. What mototr did you use??? What kind of rear axle did you use? All I see is body work and no pics of frame structure or layout. Thats the hardest part to build......You would think you would be proud and want to show off that kind of accomplishment to everyone. sorry if I sound like I dont believe you but I find it highly unlikely that someone would build something like that and not show more detail of it's progress.

Yes. I will get more pics up, still a lot to do on this. It is all scratch built, no donor anything. 4 link rear sus, and basically everything just like the SE DVD. I tried to stay as true to the original as I could in every aspect.

I've been as impressed with you and your friend's work as everyone else here for a few years now, but have always been flustered with how you could put so much talent, effort and money into all of your projects, only to post 480x360 res pics... what??? That's like a $200 million production blockbuster Hollywood movie only being released on Beta! In 2015!

:lol

Anxiously awaiting more (and hopefully decent resolution) pics!

Re: Tumbler up and running

That's one of the most amazing things I ever seen. Sometime you have to post a video of that thing running and driving. Unbelievable.
