Trying to make a Bowcaster

Ok The build has officially begun, it will go slow as I am working two jobs. I'd like to get it done by x-con in myrtle beach. I will have to scratch build a lot as the crossbow body was simply that. a crossbow body, nothing else on it. But it only ran me 20 ucks plus shipping. I've vut out the back with a coping saw here.

My first real problem. there is a metal bar that comes out here. I can't tell how far back it goes, so I am going to cut out the entire front end and replace it with a piece of wood I think. I haven't nailed this down yet though. More pics to follow as I slowly find time to get things. done
I ordered a 27 inch replacement bow limb on the cheap to serve as the front bow.

Hello fellow bowcaster builder!

That looks exactly like what im using! Is it a explorer frame? 20 buck huh? Price was definately right! I paid 60 for mine. The metal in it is a threaded shaft to attach the bow i imagine. Where did you order the bow itself and what kind did you get? I have a thick peice of aluminum that i was planning to use for mine but a pre made bow would be great!

I just found a mpx replacement on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/32142497386...49&var=510295123677&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
It cost more then the crossbow. I have a single point replica I made for another build. A rebel blaster that never quite looked right. But the scope worked. I just have to figure out the mound on the scope. Do you know what kind of balls to use?
Oh, the body was this.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Horton-Hunter-HD-150-Crossbow-Stock-Only-RealTree-Hardwoods-Camo-SK150-HD-NEW-/361199654603?hash=item54192d56cb:g:TuAAAOxyc2pTYVYg
Sometimes the same seller has bids for them too
