Trying to find source coveralls from "Hot Rod" Andy Samberg...

Hello-

I wanted to look into making a replica suit of the Rod Kimball stuntman coveralls as pictured here:

Obviously they don't come exactly like that, but I noticed the sleeves, pockets and collar have a darker blue fabric.

Anyone know where these originated from? I saw a prop pic and looks like it might have come from a store-bought source and modified.

Thanks for your help. I'll keep looking in the meantime.
:thumbsup

Bump. I guess you can't exactly find EVERYTHING on the RPF, hehehe.

I know it's not exactly a talk of the town film though :)

I would imagine that they would be regular blue coveralls, with the dark blue accents (and of course, the stars and stripes) added on later.

Blue coveralls are easy enough to find. Dickie's ones are close in style.

Sweet!!! his helps quite a bit. Farther than I got looking around.

How do you find this stuff? :)

The second link has the same inside tag as the screen one. You can just add some patches and the striping and be set.

One thing I noticed is that the screen-used one is a full button-up and these are zipper-based coveralls. Other than that they look to be just like the movie ones.

Perhaps it's a site mis-print and they goofed on that. It's in the BUTTON FRONT section of the catalog so that is odd....

Bump.. don't know if there's been any other leads. Been continuing my search as well but not with much luck.

Is it possible to get custom patches made where you don't have to get like 50 minimum?

Well by an odd twist... Premiere Props never sold the original hero suit. I found recently that they were auctioning off the actual hero suit (due to non sale on their site) and WON it for under half what it originally was asking for! I'm so stoked about receiving it! Pic of it is the exact one pictured in an above post.

I've made my replica suit for Halloween and will be posting finished costume pix soon. I didn't think I'd have the opportunity to get the real one at a price I could afford. Thankfully not many people loved the movie as much as me, LOL!

Cool beans.

Thanks to everyone who bought the Rob Kimball Coveralls from us last year. I believe most sales were a result of this forum. We have upgraded our coverall area to include a specific coverall selection for the "Hot Rod" Rod Kimball coverall. Here is the link - We only ship in North America. Thanks again, we appreciated all your business.
