Trying to find a movie title...

Like the title says, I'm trying to figure out a movie's name that I supposedly saw a long time ago. My sister asked me earlier, and it sounds familiar but I can't think of anything...

She says it has a guy that has robocop like armor, but the skin of his face pulls back to reveal his teeth and gums, etc... She thinks he might have been a cop brought back to life or something.

And there's the possibility that he eats people, lol.

She said the end takes place in a museum or some type of exhibit where he is in some form at the end, possibly on display. And that at some point the bad girl pushes the good girl into him, leading you to think he's gonna eat her or whatever, but doesn't?

And the last thing that stood out was that he shows a girl his armor at a point, and pulls back the skin of his face to show off his teeth...

Anyone think this rings any bells?

Doesn't sound very much like the plot, but it really reminds me of The Vindicator.

A scientist dies in a lab explosion and is brought back as a cyborg that is programmed to react with extreme violence to anything perceived as a threat. He escapes the labs before the failsafe gets installed to go after the people responsible for his death.


I actually liked that movie as a kid, but it was easily dismissed when Robocop came out the following year.

It's been over 20 years since I've seen it, so I don't remember exactly "where" the end of the film took place, but it did seem like the outside of some museum at a space exploration exhibit, IIRC.
The lead was supposed to be working for NASA when he was killed in the explosion. The cyborg body he helped invent was supposed to be our next step in space exploration because of the protection and strength it provided. I think the guys that killed him did it in order to turn the project into a weapon system and sell it to the highest bidder.

Pretty standard fare for 80's action/ horror flicks though. Scientist playing with technology to make men more powerful. At some point it backfires and/or consumes him. His corporate superiors try to hide the accident. Our hero spends the rest of the flick trying to reunite/warn his wife and or clear his name and or get revenge, meanwhile accidentally killing people and generally raising cain.

I think I remember this one, or one like it. The guy takes his mask/helmet off, and what's underneath has no skin at all.. it's bare skull and eyeballs in some kind of clear mask that keeps it alive with some kind of fluid. Is that the same one, the Vindicator?

The Vindicator was also known as Roboman. Working title of Frankenstein 1988, or something like that....

IIRC, it had a little bit of muscle & flesh, but yeah...it was behind the clear face shield. Also, there was something about the "fluid" being compromised (because of damage/injury) that almost killed him towards the end.
