not really sure if this is the place to put this thread but, ive been a member of the obscurus crusade with a few other people around here for about 2 years now and have made a couple costumes. well this year i was in the planning/design/helmet pepping stage of my dark apostle
when a friend of mine stopped by and said "dude youve been a grey knight chaplain
and a word bearer,
why not do a daemon prince?"
so my project went from this
to the image i posted above, complete with custom made digitigrade stilts,
and a handmade muscle suit, the plan is to have this ready by may in time for A-kon in dallas, good thing income tax season starts in a coule weeks, becasuse this is not only gonna be expensive but also time consuming, im gonna use the process of pepping my few armour pieces and then skinning them in foam and sealing that with a thin coat of rondo for a smooth finish on the paint job without 200 lb of armour weighing me down. i'll be starting this costume in a few days with the building of the stilts ( to me the hardest part since its the only part i've never done, so this will definitely be a very busy first half of 2013, for me i'll definitely be keeping you guys updated on what's progressed and how everything is coming, thanks for listening, btw the stilts picture came with the instructable on how to make them, i havent made them yet and am not trying to pass off this guys work as my own, just wanted to clarify, i will be making these stiltsto go under this armour
