Tropic Thunder, Lovecraft, and more!

Hello all, been awhile since I made a thread showing any work.
I've been working on some things that aren't entirely prop related, but definitely sculpture. As well as going through some of my older work from college and onward and putting them up on my blog.

Here are a few things:

I've been working on doing small scale creature studies to keep my hand lose and make sure I'm sculpting regularly. I had wanted to try and do them once a day, but even though they were supposed to be fast studies, I couldn't always find the time.

I've also started work on a bas relief of one of my favorite authors, H.P. Lovecraft. I want to do a relief with alot of art nouveau influences, and little hidden pieces directed at his works. It should be a fun project, and just need to nail down the design and get started on that part. I will hopefully finish it within the month, atleast before December, and plan to make it available here.

Guess who?

I finished a commission for a 1/6th scale portrait of Robert Downey Juniors character on Tropic Thunder. It was an interesting subject to work on, and was rather fun. I've done some 1/6th scale work before, but this was my second one that was based of an actor, and I feel it came out pretty well. The original was done in Sculpey, and then painted with acrylics.
