TROOPER ARMOR /Adhesive Remover???

Last question.... Til my next one...

Had my trooper armor displayed once, then stored away... Now looking to bring to life again.

Stripped all the old velcro and am starting over (maybe a couple spots were secured with super glue).

The majority is the adhesive from the velcro and looking for a solvent to remove that, without damaging the armor plastic...

Have finger rubbed a bit off, but already missing skin and 95% of the job left... So seeing if there's an easy solution out there.

???????

Thanks

one of our TK's said that he uses one of those 'magic eraser' pads to remove scuffs on armor.. I wonder if it would remove adhesive?

you can usually find it in the paint dept at Walmart.. it's a common thing.
Goof-off is a different solvent that would work, but it is a lot stronger & you have to be careful not to melt the plastic w/it. Goo-gone ( orange oil) is safer

Goo-Gone or the Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean both should work, I'd go with the goo first and use the eraser afterwards for anything that got missed.

WD-40

Won't hurt the armor whatsoever and will remove the glue.

If you want to remove the glue lightning fast, use some non-clorinated brake cleaner. Spray it onto a paper towel and go to it, but be quick as it evaporates very quickly. You'll need some Novus polish to bring back the ABS shine.....if your armor is ABS that is.
