I totally forgot about the difference in technology.. for some reason, I was thinking the suits would be pretty much the same as they were before, it never occurred to me that nowadays they could make them glow for real instead of doing it as a visual effect. Fairly simple, now that I think about it.. EL material or OLED or something.
I'm guessing EL with some digital enhancement maybe.

I'm all for it. I hope I don't live to regret saying that like I did with the Matrix sequels but as for right now, I'd certainly love to see some further sequels.

Actually, it looks more like a conversation scene than a "I'm about to do hero stuff" scene.
Well, I exaggerated the obvious, but that's what it will all boil down to.
What? You mean they look like normal people now with suits that have some glowing lines? The fact that the technology was in its infancy when Tron was made is what gave it its charm. Kinda like the way the lightsabers in Star Wars had that unpredictable, raw quality with the spinning rods and shoddy matting. Now they are so perfectly sanitized and computerized, they lost any 'personality' they may have had.
