Tron: Legacy, "The Digital Frontier" Book

Thank you for the scans Robbie. Still waiting on the Jeff Bridges picture I ordered from another source to arrive.

Everything else is finished, well sorta. I wish I could figure out the exact scale of the movie version of the book. My measurements from image games are 6.65 inches H/ 9.836 V- but it doesnt sit well with me. The spine on the movie book is thicker than the 42e as well. I guess I need to hunt some blank books down to sort out a size that will work.

I'm looking forward to seeing your work, your cover was already pretty much done, once you drop the images in you should be ready to rock and will have a great looking piece.

is anyone selling/ making The Digital Frontier Book or cover PM me..
:)

Kevin mentioned a page or two back possibly trying to get a run up and going. I'm working with him to see if we can make that a reality.

I had my page measurements wrong in regards to the overall page depth (width of the book without cover) and the hollow depth. I've corrected my previous post that had all the measurements with the correct info (changes are bolded for clarity).

Sorry...:unsure

Hey all, using the information found and given across this site, I've put together what is referred to as the D23 version (or Screen version) of the Digital Frontier book cover using the sizes from FSURobbie

Digital Frontier Cover v3.pdf

The page is almost 22" wide so you'll need to tile or long sheets.

BTW, I'm using GoogleDoc, so you when you click that link, then you choose the File link (under the google logo) and save original, otherwise you get a lowres image)

I've also posted this in the Paper props Tron thread.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks.

The cover looks great Talisen:thumbsup, now I just need to find some old book to wrap it around.

Looks fantastic man, you did a great job!

BTW, has anyone had any problems trying to download the "Digital Frontier" cover from GoogleDocs? For some reason, I keep being diverted to an error page when I try to download the original image (and it says due to a series of constant forwarding or something like that).

I found a picture of Jeff wearing the same outfit with the same background behind him in a 1988 issue of Esquire Magazine. I won a copy off of ebay. I figured the illusive image would be inside the magazine. It wasn't :(

I know for a fact that DF picture came from this photo shoot, but it wasn't published. The photographer is Phillip Dixon. I have already tried contacting a few agencies that represent him. None of them have responded back. Just isn't meant to be...

Aw man, that sucks. To nail down the exact shoot and not find the image? Sorry man. Your search skills are impressive though.

I found that yesterday from probably the same ebay auction, I hoped to find the Esquire shoot in a JB photo gallery - came none

I'm not giving up. I'd just assume it would be better to wait for the Bluray. Dixon has been contacted- he isn't responding. Disney probably paid for the use of that image, and giving it out to just anybody might cause problems. "Them's the breaks" as they say.

The bluray is only 2 months away. I can wait.

Anyone have that large scan of the dustcover that was offered by GeraldBarnacle? The link has since died of course...

Haven't had much luck finding a nice scan of the front cover and the back picture yet either.

ANYONE with a copy of this book. Could you please measure the dimensions (HxWxL) and post them on here please. I am trying to build a Baton and will be extrapolating the dimensions of the Baton from the book in the Disney showcase. Please help!

Thanks
MGF
