We talked about this over on KLOV and there's already people planning to modify thier Midway Tron into the Encom version. There's already a large market for quality replacement Marquee's and the Coindoor could just be a decal. Of course someone could fabricate a stencil for it and have it painted on.

Here's my first draft of the coin-op arcade game banner.

Please bear in mind I'm still working on the logo bevels, proportions, width, etc. It's a first pass, after all.

AWESOME CS! Great start! only thing that appears noticeable, other than what you mentioned... is the varying degrees of brightness/thickness in the yellow background lines... but I'm sure you know that!

Had a chance to pick one of these up 5-6 years ago for almost nothin... man I been kickin myself since I first saw the 08 teaser!

When I was young it was SW, goonies, or tron!

With a lil black hole and dark crystal... lol.

Those were my ABSOLUTE favorites for sure!

I believe the varying degrees of brightness is due to the way this is back-lit. I've done stuff like this before where the design is printed on a thick piece of lexan and it's lit from behind. The placement of the light bulb will determine what looks brighter and what looks dimmer (although we're in an era of LEDs, so I'm not sure how that will look). However, one generally prints these as straight, clean and crisp as possible. If need be, I can "dirty" it up. The dirtiness of the banner plate in the screenshot suggests a prop guy airbrushed it to give it a worn or aged look.

The varying thickness of the lines may be due to image resizing and image compression, and may not appear like that at all on the big screen.

I've also noticed the screenused's "N" is drawn incorrectly. It's seven squares wide whereas the original coin-op TRON games are the equivalent of eight squares wide.

I could idealize it, or I could make it screen-accurate....
