Very cool! We have someone one the forum that's in the midst of a project to make these available, looks like he's got the design just about spot on!

It's also very interesting to see that Kevin Flynn's costume and ID Disc are white, when most of the costumes in the film are black. That picture gives a nice close-up of the fabric, too, which will help the board's costumers. :cool

I'm gonna go out on a limb here but I'm guessing that's just the costume decoration version rather than the hero hand-held type since it doesn't appear to have lights around the outer edge... I could be wrong but that's how it seems to me from looking at the hand held props in the HD trailer. Still, that's a pretty awesome pic regardless!
They did the same thing in the first movie where there were the costume versions the actors ran around with on their backs and the ones they actually threw around. At least that's what it seems to me.
I think the guy that made the hero hand-held versions is here on the board and has mentioned some details in the past but I'm guessing he can't say much of anything until after the film is out.

Hard to say. I would agree with you that it's not one that was thrown around, rather the one on Jeff Bridges costume, but cast from the same molds.

I REALLY hope that eventually he can and will talk about them/show some pics of the details! (everyone keeps talkin about his involvement, but I know he has to avoid these threads like the plauge for the time being!)
I grow more excited every day about this movie!
This thing has so much liscensed prop potential too! With DavidR1 getting the rights to make the suits... I'm sure by this time next year some company will be making the discs!
Not that fans aren't beating them to the punch...
Yup! I've been pestering him about Tron for over a year. I'm sure he's tired of me asking about the movie and his work on the discs!:lol
Yeah more than likely Rick won't be able to give us any info on this. I am sure he had to sign a non-disclosure form or form of the sort.

Guys. Seriously stop posting about Rick. I know the new guys are clueless, but have the vets not noticed the posts that have dissapeared?
First of all he really didn't give out any info. Other than saying he did make the originals and WISHED he could help.
But the fact he is personally mentioned in every other post in EVERY tron related thread may mean we don't see him on the RPF anymore period.
Please respect the NDA's the real propmasters of the RPF are all bound to. We love their work and the fact they haven't been replaced by CGI.
The "mouse" has already been in our house if you catch my drift.
Keep discussing the prop. Leave the maker out of it. He can not, and will not be able to give any inside info. Period.

I agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly, but I hardly see how my post provoked you to it. Of course I saw the edits you speak of, and understand their implication, but as this is the first time I've so much as mentioned the gentleman, and only to the purpose of preventing any potentially damaging confusion in regards to him and his activities here, I'd appreciate it if you'd direct your judgment elsewhere. Perhaps at someone actually guilty of the issue you speak of.
