Tron Legacy Inspired Outfit

I try to make an troninspired costume for myself (sry for any bad grammer in the text because i am from germany) and i soon recognised that 1 by 1 replica is really hard because its really hard to get some of the materials. Furthermore you need high amounts of Light tape because some of strips are very wide.

So what i got of the way of a exakt replic and try to make a more doable way for me. I hope you can give me feedback what i can make better.

In the next fotoseries you see how i try to do the bodypart with a weste that i buyed and upgraded.

what i have to do soon is to refine the boarders of the light tape and build a socket for the disc. Hope i can post soon new pictures

Wow, looks awesome
Where did you get your strips of light tape?
I've looked through all the TRON threads many times,
but I've never seen light tape with el wire connectors....

Looks like a good start to a Tron Costume. Quick question. The vest, the one with the 8 black panels and straps on the side, where did you get this vest from? What brand or style is this? Look forward to your costume developments

Nice! Not complicated, and it looks great. Did you El wire the disk as well?
I would break up some of the long tape sections a little more, like the stripes on clu's chest. Maybe with 1/4" wide strips of tape.

yes i removed the old electronics with the new one and put some El-Wire inside the disk.

Normal Tapes are not so good as solution cause it looks not so good. I use something different but i don´t know the word in english for it. I will post it with the next pictures

so i make a update of my progress. I made many changes and tried to refine the edges of the Eltape what you can see in the pics. At the moment i try to make a socket for my Disk from Polyurethan Construction Foam and carve it out with a knife.
But this is not so easy.I would be happy, if you have some tips for me about the Work with construction foam that could be helpful.
The Maintarget with the socket is that the Disk in the one hand must hold it when i am moving around with my suit and in the other hand making it easy to remove by hand. In best case that i dont need help to take it down from my back.
What i can positivly remark is that now the industrialglue is my best friend for projects like this XD

Like you can see i hided the inverter behind the belts and later i put cables along the inner site of my vest

the glue of the el-bands is not so good. After i tried everything like you can see in the pic i fixed the problem with industrialglue.

i changed a little bit the design and it will come further changes.

Maybe this foam will be one lucky day my socket for the disc. If anybody can give some tips i would be happy. :)
