I'm loving your work too!! I wish everyone lived here in LA so we could all go to the premiere (or Halloween) together in costumes.

If I didn't think I would have so much trouble getting through airport security, I would fly to LA to party with everyone.

I can just imagine the look the TSA would give me when they opened my suitcase.

'What is that?'

To which I would reply: " It's a garbage disposal." (points for the reference)

Thanks for your reply. So that's just transparency paper on the back and El Wire on top of that and then white masking tape on top of all that? Held all together on their sides with electrical tape? That is what I am seeing in your photos, black tape holding the sides together, correct me if I am wrong.

I really do love what you are doing here!

Alright here is my advise for the best way to do this, since I did it 5 times just to get it right.

1.Cut the design on transparency paper..

2.Tape the maskin tape to the transparency.

3.Retrace the design on top of the masking tape, to make sure you know what will be covered up by the black electrical tape or Black duct Tape, I think it will adhere better, but it is not as easy to work with.

4. Tape the EL Wire on the oposite side of the transparency (towards the suit)
I used that shiny clear tape, I got at target.

5. On top of the masking tape now you will tape the edges with the black tape, this is where the design fully comes thru, I fold the black tape under, that way you dont see the edge of the transparency paper.

6. Tape either Poster board or plain white paper on top of the el wire so that it will reflect back to the front where the masking tape will diffuse it.

I hope this makes sense.

how did you figure out the armor shape in relation to your body size??

oh and im going to ElecTRONica at California Adventure on Thursday

To get it to fit my size was a bit of a process, first I looked at the available pictures, compared the placement of certain parts of the design and then compared where they are located in relation to shoulders chin, stomach. Once I had somewhat of an idea I grabbed a tight white shirt and used a washable marker and drew on it. Keep in mind if you just need one side, you can just trace it and put it together since t is a symmetrical design.

Here is one helpful hint, the front chest piece on the bottom has a small circle, that is where you belly button would be, it was a big reference help for me.

Already took my Quorra thru airport security in my carryon with no problem when I went to Dragon Con. Only thing was I almost had a hissey fit when the stewardess wanted to take it and put it under the plane due to so many ppl bringing on carryons there was no room left for my bag. I made them find a spot for me and caused a huge scene on the plane. Lol! Surprised I didn't get arrested.

Hey I worked my butt off on that thing and no way was I gonna risk my Quorra suit getting lost and winding up in China

Got it!!! Now to save up money for all the wiring I am gonna need for my suit :O thank goodness for overtime pay!!! So broke right now.

I just attached one magnet to disc and one to the back of my suit. By the User it's so strong I only needed the 2!!! With the addition of cut latex foam for the disc to rest on, I will have no worries on losing my disc if I were to place it on my back. I am waiting for some EL wire in the mail, and may do like some of you are doing. Which is phenomenal by the way.

The biggest thing is the story. So is it strong? Not cheesy. Do you think they have a good full movie by itself and not just some "prequel" to make more movies and cash in?

I liked it better than Avatar. The only thing that bothers those that have watched it. Who sent the page to Alan? And what really happened to TRON? These are the only questions that remain. Overall after you see it you want to see it again. A great story & a visual feast for the eyes. Your costume will fit right in with the movie. The music is also a plus.

Tomorrow will be the official dress rehersal. I'll have the entire thing on from head to toe. Functionally the entire thing works. If I can move around a room without everything blinking on and off then I'll officially have what I call 'gravy'.

Pictures will be taken so you can see a full front and back. It will be the finished product.
