Trek Tooling Master Images

Last year I was asked to create a tooling master for an upcoming licensed 1701 Original Series Enterprise toy. By clicking the image below, you will be taken to additional images of one of the three paint masters and prototypes that were made from castings of the tooling master.

This model is 15.5" long assembled, features recessed window ports, authentic detailing, clear cast forward engine domes, upper and lower saucer domes and nav lights. The final production line toy will be injection molded styrene and will feature lights and sounds from the original Star Trek television series. I don't know the specifics on that part although I did have lighting features input.

I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did in creating the prototype and the paint masters. :)

Hi Thomas, I remember seeing this for the first time over at the old AA forum and thinking how great it looks, I think this will be a huge seller for AA/Diamond I know I am picking up a few.

Great Work.

OUTSTANDING........ Can't wait to display this baby next to my 1701-A.

For those of us that can't afford the MR, this is a cool alternative.

Been waiting for someone to do this for AA -- nice job. I will definitely snag a few when it comes out. (gotta re-decal a few ships' names)

I'm surprised this thread isn't longer. I know it's not MR quality, but still--for a licensed toy, this is about as good as it gets. I also understand that this is the paint master, and the end result will be in all probability "not so nice", but still.....

C'MON PEOPLE---show the love......

Thomas Models knocked this out of the park.

COOL, COOL, COOL. I've got the Art Asylum movie Enterprise and I can't wait to get this one (can't afford the MR, although even if I could I'd STILL be buying this one). Sweet work Thomas :)

Thomas knocks everything he does out of the park. Good to see you over here Thomas. Great job :thumbsup

Thomas.... That is one VERY NICE piece. As always.... GREAT WORK.. And a great alternative for scale.

A quickie 'off the beaten path' question for ya...A short while back you had started inquiries about the Serenity Firefly in large scale... anything ever come of that besides the explosive plan artwork? :confused I would be interested in it in the future.

Anyway.... great piece of work on the 1701. Even the decals look great. LOL... guess that is one of your known specialties. :p

Very kewl indeed. :thumbsup :thumbsup

Kurt,

Thank you and yes. There are two other contracted masters I am working on, then it will be back to Serenity. When I make progress with that, I will post those images in the Firefly section of my board.
