I'm delighted with mine, and it fits perfectly in the cradle in the Wand tricorder.

Working out of the box:

Seated in the cradle in the Wand tricorder:

And here it is in the tricorder with the door closed, seen from the rear with the access panel open. As you can see, it's a very comfortable fit:

I have one similar to this that runs on a couple button cell batteries. It's always been one of my favorite pieces because it sounds so good. Are these the same folks that made that? I'd love to get a set of Appliques for mine.

I think so. The thread on the Fleet Workshop mentions the button-cell-battery version, and how this one now charges with a USB-C connection.

Here’s mine. #51

Mine was shipped with #51 on the plaque and COA but the numbered insert in the scanner itself was #61. Easy mistake and I would’ve been totally happy to live with it except I thought whoever got #61 might prefer everything match. So I contacted Roger and he sent me the correct insert right away. I shipped the incorrect one back to him to match it up with #61. It was easy to replace as they’re just press fit.
In case anyone is curious what they look like on the inside with the serial insert removed, they’re pretty tightly packed.

Good as new!

Here’s the full sound loop, which is about 25 seconds and looped perfectly.

Awesome.

I'm still having the conundrum:

So for reference without emailing, what does it cost? Thanks!

$349.99 plus shipping.

By the way, I've posted in the tricorder thread before about how I once examined the original. First I thought it was around 25 years ago, then I looked at some old photos and the date stamp was 2014. But now I realize that has to be wrong, it was about 25 years ago.

I remember because I was in law school at the time, and very nervous about my upcoming character & fitness questionnaire. Someone at the prop party broke out a bong, and I left the room to go out to the balcony because I didn't want to be anywhere near it. So FWIW, I examined the original somewhere in the 2000-2002 window. And this replica, to the best of my memory, totally nails it.

This scanner is up to date version of the one Dennis Stines and another member here did years ago

I was told by them back then that it was almost impossible to fit everything in the body for it to work

I have examined the original and this is an exact replica of it

As the email states this is THE representation of this Prop

Agreed. Thankfully technology caught up and the rechargeable lithium battery is super compact. Brilliant idea to design the hidden USB C charge port. I ran mine for over an hour and it never drained. Then when I went to charge it, it went from red to green in like 4 minutes.
The gear is audible but quiet and is a nice blend with the volume of the sounds. Absolutely ZERO negatives I can see.

Fully agree. Haven't run mine for an hour yet or even close, but it's definitely the best replica I've ever seen. I love that they did it with a rubber sleeve like the original. The geared motor is very unobtrusive, and almost sounds like part of the sound effect. This thing is amazing.
