Transformers -Movie Starscream

Hi all,
On and off for a year I've been working on a Starscream costume from the 'bayformer' movies. I premiered it at Botcon 2011 in Pasadena CA two weeks ago.

He's about 7.5 ft tall and wide. Unfortunatley the arms don't move to much. The head moves also and I freaked a lot of people out with it when I gazed out at them. Walking around was a bit difficult, but I feel the suit was a hit!

(Some of you may remember me as the guy who built the Transformers movie Frenzy puppet.)

Good lord man! I can hardly tell where you are in that thing. Great work on the overall design and execution. It's gotta be somewhere around 8' tall? I can't imagine a smoke or bathroom break. Good job!

Wow! this is just phenomenal. What made you pick Starscream?

Ah well I really liked the newer design and Starscream was always interesting to me because his character always tried everything to succede, but always failed.

I think I did him justice! :cool

Pardon my language, but that is mind-blowing. I'm curious as to whether the suit can withstand a few hard knocks or is it slightly delicate? How long does it take to don the suit, and what is the primary material you used?

The costume can get hit a little bit, but it's not for wrestling or anything like that. It's made out of pvc pipe, foamcore, hotglue, and magic.

Bumblebee is my friend Lionboogy. Some may have seen him at Comiccons past. Shows you how big Starscream is!!!

Good grief, those are both amazing suits. As mentioned, it's really hard to tell where you are in the costume, which to me is a great indication that you did a good job.
