Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon Movie Review *spoilers*

You'll notice even I can't defend this movie. I don't mind the misogyny, but add in the puerility and imbecility and it can't help but color the experience.

It's odd for me to say despite all I said was wrong with it that is was a "fun" movie and visually quite an amazing thing to experience.

Sadly it was just very long and full of crap distracting from what could have been a stronger story told in a shorter amount of time.

I REALLY would have liked to seen an actual ending though. It was like they just forgot to include that and Optimus said a few sentences and then it cut to the end credits and I was like, "Wait, huh? What about beginning to rebuild the city? Sam departs or something and the plan of where to go from such a major tragic event and stuff?" It just failed to fill the people in.

I also think Bay has taken this great franchise and made it into be a bit of a joke when the cartoon seemed to take itself more seriously despite it being a children's TV show.

Fun to watch though for it's visuals, but lacking in other areas that REALLY coulda made it great.

Satxer There is nothing to defend. It was a huge mess of a movie. I really wanted to love it, cause I loved the first two. I even thought the second movie was way better than this story wise.
OH and I forgot my biggest gripe of all... Why is Bumblebee STILL NOT TALKING? He talked at the end of the first movie, you mean to tell me two movies later and Ratchet still can't fix his voice? COME ON!

That would involve Ratchet having some screentime. Somehow NO ONE in the movie had screen time, and yet it was still 3 hours long...

The whole movie was a one of those annoying little comedic relief robots said a gaint cluster f........at one point I was asking myself where are the Autobots and Decepticons. Half the movie wasn't even needed ecspecailly the really bad over the top "comedic" parts, random trash talking bots, insane bosses and co-workers really made the whole thing kinda stupid. Ken Jeong's character was the worst. The only cool new thing in this was Laserbeak

All of act three made me want to watch BATTLE: LA again. Aaron Eckhart is much cooler than Shia.

:thumbsup +1

I was actually thinking of Battle: LA while watching this film

This film is one of those action packed movies where all you get is 5% story and 95% action

too many slow mo scenes, too many cheesy scenes, too many bull**** scenes, etc etc

kinda funny to see them reuse The Island car crash scenes

This film is definitely better than the second one, but still falls short from the first film.....

I'll add this to the List of Movies I somewhat enjoyed but never watch again

niennumb1,

You've said everything I wanted to say about this movie. Except for one thing.

When Bumblebee used a soundbite of Leonard Nemoy saying "your friend", I thought that was a cool nod to him. However...... when he said the line "The need of the many" etc., I swore out loud and nearly walked out of the theatre.

Of course, having watched "The Search for Spock" last night probably didn't help....

Overall, I thought this was by far my favorite of the 3. After seeing the second film, I had VERY low expectations and was only hoping for a nice visual assault, Bay style. Well, I got that and then some. I have to disagree with a few here, I thought this movie was great in 3D, most of the time it was subtle and a few times, it was just amazing - put you right into the action.

It was cool to hear Leonard Nemoy, did anyone pick up on the robots watching a Trek episode and commenting on it being the one where Spock is bad or evil or goes crazy (not sure the actual line but I thought it was a funny addition.)

If you liked film 1 and 2, you'll like this one. If you liked 1 but not 2, you might like this one, if you didn't like either of the first two films...there is no chance. ;)

So the only way Bay can effectively insert emotion is to steal it. Not surprised really.

See this is a mistake.

I've had plenty of movies turn out to be favorites upon re-watching.

Blade Runner
Spies Like Us
Real Genius
Men in Tights

Hated all of them in the theater. But now like them all.

Give'em a chance.

I normally give movies a second chance when i watch them on cable tv, but i definitely know for sure i wouldnt be watching transformers 2 and 3......

i prefer films with a little bit more story.....too much action and barely little story doesnt cut it for me anymore....

one of my all time favorite films that i hated, but loved it after watching it again was SCARFACE.

I liked it first 3d movie I saw and I was impressed with it. Didn't seem overdone and I didn't get a headache like I thought I might.

Giant robots from outer space fighting each other on earth. And they can turn into cars and planes.

I didn't need more plot line than that when I was playing with my Transformer toys in the mid 80s. Don't seem to need more than that now. But I can do without cheeseball slapstick humor. Leave that to Jack@$$ and stupid shows like that.

The first Transformers was OK. The second one I liked a lot less, but this one was the best by far.
Action scenes looked better, a few funny parts, but there was a mood of serious danger, not just for a few characters, but for everyone.

If you are going to Transformers looking for a serious plot or story line, that would be like trying to get filet mignon and lobster from Burger King. That isnt what they do.

Dont get me wrong, steak and lobster is great, but not for every meal every day. Sometimes you just want a club sandwich.

Well this movie is one heck of a club sandwich. Hit just the right spot on a July 4th weekend. And I still have room for steak and lobster tonight if I want.
