Training Remote Question

Is there any consensus on how big the Jedi Training Remote would be in real life? I know the Studio Scale shooting prop was 6 inches in diameter but that's widely accepted to be over sized and certainly looks smaller than that on screen. It's listed as being .15 meters in diameter in the Wookipedia, which is just under 6 inches but that doesn't seem right. Any thoughts from the group?

I think the general consensus is that in this scale studio scale = 1:1 scale. I don't believe their was any attempt to make the prop look a different size on screen.

I thought the same thing, but I think it is 1:1. I think it just looks smaller in relation to Luke because it's flying a couple feet away.

I did some measurements using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lQmx5vfUok?t=0m33s and the chrome "ruler" extension and comparing to Luke's lightsaber, which has a known length. The results aren't 100% conclusive as I get results in the 125 to 145 mm range. The training remote is in front of Luke in the shot, so the measured value is only an uppper limit, but it seems unlikely that the remote is depicted as being 150mm.

I'm working on a model myself, and I'm considering making it slightly smaller to fit on a 145x145mm print bed...
