It was only 21 years between ESB and TPM.

If the next 20 go by as fast as that 20 did, I'll be 72 in no time.

To clarify- it was 19 years between ESB and TPM, and May 2018 will be 19 years since TPM. Indeed- life feels like a time machine going in the wrong direction. Time is moving faster every day.

I spin out on this sort of thing frequently. Time dilation and perception of time as an adult vs a kid is weird.

There was only 6 years between Wrath of Khan and TNG’s debut. Similarly, only 4 years between BTTF 1 and 2. As a kid those felt like an eternity.

All those years waiting for Episode I, and now its been so long ago. It is scary that years go faster than the days it seems.

I remember the eternity length of time waiting on Empire Strikes Back to come out. That was the longest wait ever!!! It seemed like a lifetime away!
