Toys Legend Arc Reactor

Hey, so if you look up what's in the title on eBay or on google you end up with what looks like a really good replica of the vibranium RT. Does anyone have any extra info about this or any idea of the quality of this?

All of the pages I have seen advertise it as being 1:1, but I haven't seen any images with reference to prove that.

I'm attaching some pictures of the RT as seen in those auctions/pages.

Like I said I don't know anything about this RT or if it's any good at all, but it looks nice and for the price of about 100 it seems too good to be true.

Thanks!

I have looked at it on Ebay a few times , looks really great, but I was skeptical because of it being 100.00 , so I have been sitting back and watching to see if anyone gets one, before I jumped in and done something I might regret....I don't know anything on those, but very curious myself

Wow that second picture is pretty interesting, it looks like a pretty good prop. I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these now

That was a great find :O I never even thought to look on youtube for a video on it. It seems like a good purchase overall, I think the LED hotspots might annoy me though. Still it would be great to have.

I've had one of these on pre-order since July, it's just been shipped, i should get it either this week or next week. I'll post pics up when i get it, it looks really good though, and for the price it's fantastic. Just got these pics from the seller i got mine from:

Well i had a package arrive today......

The packaging is good, nice and secure so if you do order, it should arrive in one piece. The arc reactor and stand are really nice and well made, it's plastic and obviously would have been nicer if it was metal, but for the price (mine was $115 inc EMS shipping - arrived in 5 days) it's fantastic and put's the Museum Replicas one to shame. The arc reactor itself sits in the stand nice and securely. The only thing I could be picky about is that you cannot adjust the angle the arc reactor sits at (like you can on the MR version) however having said that, the angle it's positioned in is as it is in the film so looks good. It would be nicer if the light defused a bit more too so the light was spread out a bit more evenly as it does "spot" a bit (it looks a LOT worse in the pics though than it actually does in person - I tried to get a photo to show how it actually looks couldn't get one that would give a good representation of how it looks, it really isn't anywhere near as bad in person). I had a quick look to see if it could be taken apart to add a defuser to it but I couldn't see any screws holding it together, i'm sure it could be taken apart though somehow.

Overall i'd say if you were hesitating on pulling the trigger on getting one of these, get that trigger pulled! For the price it's fantastic and i'd highly recommend getting one. The bits I've been picky about is just me nitpicking and definitely don't leave me feeling disappointed with my purchase. It's just like in the pics previously posted, but here's some pics i took of mine. You can see from the pic showing the underneath of the stand that it's hollow, however this is the only part of the whole thing that's made in that way, all the other parts feel and look solid.

Wow, that looks pretty good! Definitely better than the official Museums Replica version that came out after IM2!!

So, just checking back on ebay to look for more about the Toy Legend arc reactor, and I came across another arc reactor being offered. Don't think it's from Toy Legend but it's offered from Hong Kong so it could be a similar company? Some pics:

Seems like a weird kind of stand, but the arc reactor can detach from it and light up by itself or with help from a battery pack. It also comes with a replica of the element Tony created (they say the official name is "Vibranium" but I think that's wrong - isn't Vibranium the metal that Cap's shield is supposed to made out of?) Anyway, looks like a pretty sweet prop. I guess if you search "arc reactor" on ebay, you'll easily find it. I saw 2 different sellers offering them for $99.99.

What do you guys think?

I've seen this too, it seems good as it's metal, but I guess we would have to get one and see if it holds up to the pictures. I did like the look of it, seems accurate enough.

done a bit of modding to this arc reactor, added some details and put the parts underneath the "glass" rather than them sitting on top

I have one of these on order. Your upgrades look fantastic, subtle but it does make a difference. Do you have photos going through the changes? I'm looking for the comb sides too that are inside the inner triangle, any advice to where to source them?

Thanks :) I didn't take any progress pics, but it's not that hard to take apart, i did have to make a new "glass" from a piece of plastic though, other than that it was just a case of moving the parts around and painting the little black parts. I stole the comb pieces off the Procosplay arc reactor (that i've also been modding)

Thanks! That will be good to know. I'll have to scrounge around and see what I can find for the comb pieces, was torn for awhile with the procosplay or the toys legend, the stand was just too good to pass up though.

Now that some time has passed I want to ask any additional owners of the Toys Legend Arc Reactor..Is the prop worth the $90.00 cost seen on eBay?

Or do you recommend another version that is reasonably priced?
