I decided to rename Tom Hanks to Tom Banks since he is banking in all the cash to have his voice in these films
in other words, it was a typo cause i was posting with my android hahaha

Well I wasn't whining about a 4th in my OP, I was a bit shocked to hear given it seemed they appeared to have clearly made a great exit to the franchise in #3.
Pixar I know does a VERY good job with their films. I just don't know how much more gas is left in the tank of things that haven't been done yet that would make Toy Story 4 as special as the others. I did have faith in the 3rd when I heard it was announced. A 4th one though... I'm just trying to figure out how they'd go about doing that.

Maybe a spinoff with new characters and a different Woody doll...or even a prequel with Andy's dad or grandfather owning woody as a child..maybe passing it down to Andy's dad. We never did find out what happened to Andy's dad. Died he die, was it a divorce?

Or... When they come out of the box it's the 25th century! All toys can talk and have AI, they can "come out" to the Humans and reveal what the 20th and 21st centuries were like, of course, this is radically skewed by their particular point of view, which is hilarious.
I did hear that they were filming Cars 2 & 3 back-to-back, you know, to save on location costs and the like.

I don't know if this was just backstory from the writers, or something that was cut, but I read somewhere that Woody was Andy's dad's toy. The reason Woody has such a sense of devotion to Andy is because he feels it's his duty to look after the son of his original owner after he passed away.

The trilogy wrapped up the story so nicely. And the annual shorts were acceptable, but another sequel was not what I was expecting.

All I gotta say is back when Toy Story was coming to an end with Part 3, There wasn't the access they have now with Marvel and Star Wars.
I could see a super crazy expansion on the franchise utilizing these toys which would both be awesome for the movies themselves, but additional cash cows taking advantage of the toy collectors out there in the Star Wars world. Could you see Vader and Zurg teaming up? hahah! Maybe Bonnie has an older brother or cousin who is a crazy toy fanatic who collects Star Wars stuff and there's something there...
I think there's potential. All the toy story shorts and that more recent Toy Story Of Terror held up very well on its own. I have 100% faith in Pixar.
