Do you know which one of the original four "practical" (Hero) Phaser pistols, made by the Desilu Studios - props department, Mr. Latimer pulls from the Galileo shuttle craft weapons locker?*

I will give you hint - look at the shadow of the emitter on the gold pistol belt he holds in his right hand as he presses the weapons locker control button.

The bottom P2 (shown) was filmed in both "The Enemy Within" and "The Man Trap" and is the "Phaser Unit" (top view P2) photo in TMOST. The top P2 (shown) is not a Hero P2 - you can see it has a B&W Hero grip in another frame.

The Hero P2 that Mr. Latimer pulls from the shuttle craft weapons locker is, in my opinion, the "Unknown" P2 with the "Nona" P1.

The "Unknown" Hero P2 was the "reworked" (by Wah Ming Chang) B&W Hero P2 that Captain Kirk holds in episode 5, "The Enemy Within".
