The show went better than expected! We had a fantastic time and I'm already looking forward to next years show!!
It was great to see the gang from the 501st and meet a few new faces from this board. A big thanks to all who stopped by and said 'hey'. :)
Fortunately, this years Fan Expo was the weekend before DC, so this time I'll be able to attend DC as well...but in all honesty, it hasnt been easy keeping pace with everything we've got going on...and to top it all off I threw my back out over the weekend, so how I'm going to wear a costume at DC in a few days I have no idea... :shootme
In any case, let's start with some cool pics!
This was our booth..This year we merged with Sculpture Supply Canada and created one 200sqft display space to work from...

I'm going to start with a personal highlight from the show. :)
Greg Nicotero from KNB Effects was there signing autographs and was kind enough to come by and see our booth. He's the gentilman who made the original SPAWN movie costume so we talked abit about my suit that was there on display. I told him about how we made it and he got a real kick out of it all. :) It was very nice to get to meet him, and he was extremely kind.

He really was very nice, and for me personally..being able to talk to him about our work was a pretty big deal. :)
This was a neat-o Scarecrow outfit..

As some may know, we do a lot of lifecasting at these shows. Here's a look at some of them...
Body Double Quick Set with Plaster Bandage Mother Molds.
First, this little girl was 12 years old. Yes, we had parental consent. :) Actually they filmed the entire lifecasting of her.

This young lady volunteered to get her face cast but when I told her she'd have to remove her make-up she wasnt all too happy, so I suggested a different body part...and she agreed. We covered the nipples first so that way she could face the audience without any fear of 'real' nudity. This one drew quite the croud...

And here's a couple of close up's showing the Body Double being demolded. Trust me, this is normal...not painfull...and works like a charm!

I've got many more, and if I get a chance I'll post them up too.
I want to thank Jonathan/Devil in the Pale Moonlight and Corpseguy for all their help. Corpseguy came in from the UK for a few months and is here in Toronto with me...and getting a hell of a crash course in all this....:)
More to come!
Enjoy!

Too awesome sir! Awesome!

As for your back, I happen to have had back surgery next and an aunt who is a pharmacist. I may have something for you if you want to meet up at DCon?

Yeah, your booth is nice and all but do you have any pics of the REST of the con? :rolleyes

Unfortunately I dont have any other pics, and I didnt evn take the ones posted...because as you can see, I'm in most of them. :)

The show opened Friday, the night before we pulled the preverbial 'all nighter' and the night before we only had 3 hours sleep. Once the show got going on Friday I never left our booth. We were constantly overwhelmed...and I was a walking talking zombie.
Sorry, I myself didnt get any of the rest of the show. Maybe others did? :)

bump to boobies. forget the robot chick anymore pictures of the boobie casting?

I thought I recognized that video game suit from on here! I didn't get a chance to stop and say hi- the one time I went by you were in the middle of a life cast (it wasn't the breast-cast though, I would have stopped for that one :eek :lol). Glad you guys had a good time there!

Too funny. Gotta love the kid in the red Power Rangers suit in the front row. I'm sure his mother wouldn't appreciate him being front and center.
