Hi all, :D

Just had a look at the Torchwood Ep 4 trailer and thought this half Cyberman/human character looks awesome:-

I think for UK members with a "Cyber" interest next weeks Torchwood definitely looks like a "must" see just for this alone.

eh...i really dig the new show...but i have to say i am not a fan of the cyberwoman...it's a little too femtrooper for my tastes...and i really don't like femtroopers...skott

Hard to say before we see the full episode next week, but I think she's supposed to be a part completed Cyberman as opposed to a Cyberwoman really. Just thought the design was interesting.

Well the design is clearly a nod to Maria (Metropolis).

I agree there, I'd say still obviously "Cyberman" based though.

I thought cyber..err...people were made by transplanting the human brain into the cyber body? If so, how can that be a part completed cyber... folk?
I could be wrong.
It happens.

So did I to be honest, but I guess we're jumping the gun somewhat here anyway until we've watched the Torchwood episode with it in and we'v seen how the storyine goes. I only posted the image now because I thought folks might like to see it .

Shhhh.....never under estimate the power of the script writer.

They're Etheric Beam Locators...and they're very firm.[/b]

:D I'm sure with a few tweaks she could be made to receive FM.

Yup, you look away for just a minute and you're in a different "Alternate Universe" completely.

What channels that then CyberClassic FM, LOL???

Yes, with Cy-tel CyberClassics, you too can bop to to the addictive hit "Human Two Point Oh, Oh, Oh." Thrill to the beat of "I Can't Feel a Thing, and I Feel Fine." And how can forget that anthem classic, "Let's Start That Cyber-lution ... .Aaeeeiiiiiiiiee..." Yes, that scream of anguish gets you every time.

And when you want to slow down, let's not forget the folksy hit "Got Them Deletion Blues". And what CyberClassics collection would be complete without "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"?

:D

Oh yes pop pickers, climbing three places to become the new number one.........
it's a real cyber jerker with "I can't get no satisfaction"

I wonder if it's a Cyber-Conversion unit left over after the parallel universe Cyber invasion or the 1984 or 2003(?) invasions from the classic series. Perhaps there's a combination here of the two somehow?

I'm SOOOO anxious to see the ep. Even my wife, who's enjoying the new Who but cool on it compared to LOST, is really getting into Torchwood.

While this is a cool design in itself, I don't know if I like it in the context of what we've seen so far about Cybermen.

The only way this design really fits is if it's deliberately meant to "look cool".
Someone finds some leftover Cybertech and decided to make a fashion statement... Not realising it still functions?
That could work :)

But I doubt Cybermen would go "aye... Make this one sexy. Let's see boobies."
