Torchwood: Children of Earth - Gwen's Sonic?

We no longer get the BBC USA so I'm left either renting DVDs or, as in this case, catching them on Netflix instant view.

I've only seen days 1-3 so please don't post any spoilers.

Day 1, when Gwen is questioning the older man she uses what appears to be a Sonic Screwdriver to disable the room camera and then in Day 2 she uses them again to disable the security cameras when they are trying to rescue Jack.

I've looked for caps on the UK sites and could find some from the episodes but none with the SS. Anyone have any pictures?

Oddly enough, I don't recall seeing in the last season and it was only in the two scenes I described above. Finished Day 5 and it wasn't seen again. I do love the obscure props though...

It probally isnt a sonic, just some kind of gadget.
Allthough I wouldnt put it past Jack to assign Sonic esque gadgets to people.

Same with the sonic lipstick, Maybe a gift from the Doctor, but more like a scavenged peice of equiptment as she has not seen the Doctor for a long time. Sarah-jane's does have gallifreyan design though... curious.

Gwens i would say is just a gadget, sonic in design but not Gallifreyan, sonic pen, not Gallifreyan, but the Lazer Screwdriver, could count as it was made or designed by the master.

Oh my, I think I need to get out more...
