Good day!

I'm Alan V. (mamingwon69) from the Philippines..

i'm going to show you guys how i made my Tony Stark Mech Test Costume using Rubber sheets/mats..

i joined a cosplay competition and won 2nd place :D

Here are some of my references i used in making my costume ^^

i'll be posting WIP pics later because i'm still editing some of the pics

Starting with the Mech Boots:

i started making the base (pic#1) the worked my way up to to form the framing of the shin :)

i used 6mm, 4mm, and 2mm Rubber sheets

as you can see on the 5th picture, i place a illustration board strip to the framing so that it will be sturdy unlike on the 4th pic you can see that it kinda wobbly :lol

Here's how i did my MECH-Test arms:

Pic#1
Framing of the Bicep & forearm
i used chicago screws / post screws on connecting both of the framing

Pic#2 & #3
Gold linings on the forearm- i used 2mm rubber
then attached on the fore arm framing just like on the reference (Pic#6)

Pic#4
gold linings and metallic tube frame
on the gold linings i still used 2mm rubber then on the metallic tube i used clear plastic straws

Pic#5
Finished product :)

Covering the MECH boots and adding the details (Pic#1)^^

Testing the MECH Arm (pic#2) :)

Made my core reactor using 4mm foam & a head lamp w/ rechargeable battery pack (pic#3)

I place a reflective material to the walls of my reactor and used a bondpaper to diffuse the light emission (pic#4) :lol

adding the final details of the MECH boots...

took me around 5 hours just to finish it :lol

as you can see on the reference picture (pic#8 & 9), the spring details, instead of using springs i used garter ^^

Paint:
i coated them first with glue then applied a silver spray paint of the frames and coated flat black on the circuitry part ^^

this is the closest i can get regarding on the details on the boots :)

I like this build, it's different to all the standard Iron Man builds that have been done. Looking forward to seeing the completed item.

Looks great man. I hear you about the details. I am also working on the under suit mechanics and the details are very time consuming. Great work though!

The envy on this thing shall never end! Awesome work man! :D

Thank you kerse101:D

Great build. Its the first time i've seen go for this version of the under electronics. Great work keep it up

Thank you Shakeitdavey, i was thinking of starting with the Mech Test then do the rest of the suits after i finish this project :D
