Hah! I was so sure Lara's pendant was a New Zealand koru when I first saw the preliminary concept art. (Before they released closeups.) If you see the photos of my first version of the Tomb Raider costume, with the red headphones, I'm wearing a koru.

Speaking of photos, I've got a couple new ones! Still working on the ones from the big photoshoot I did a couple weeks back. But here's a couple of the shots that our behind-the-scenes videographer took. So much on the costume needs to be corrected, but hey, it was a decent first attempt!

Is anyone playing the PC version able to screen cap better images of the GPS markers?

I picked up a couple of the match holders and need better images so I can mod them correctly.
I already know the canister has to be flipped with the threading on the top.

I literally just bought the game during the weekend sale, but finals are this week. After Thursday I'll start my playthrough and can take screencap requests. About when will I get the markers?

Ah hah ha ha...I can't figure out how to screen cap the game.
Anyways, here's my real and airsoft 1911s.

Neither are similar to what's in the game (first one is a Taurus, second is...well) but I'm hoping to modify and paint the blue one to work, at least for Texas cons. I'll need a solid blue trainer for anything out of state. It looks about as oversized in my hand as it does in Lara's, so fingers crossed.

Here's one where you can see the bow better (and my leather arrowhead. Not too shabby for being painted, eh?). What do you guys think of the archery stance? I was trying to keep everyone's advice here in mind.



And just for fun...I tried branching out a little bit from typical cosplay/costume photographer and tried to add a little acting in.

You do know that that bottom plastic airsoft pistol is in no way a 1911 don't you? I don't know what it is, maybe a Sig of some kind or a Smith and Wesson?

It actually is, it's just a ridiculously bad copy with elements of other guns tossed in by a dumb designer. This is why you should never ask relatives who don't use guns to get you anything for a prop for Christmas. But I plan on doing one of Lara's super janky modified ones, so this thing is getting chopped to hell and back anyways.

Your archery form is about as good as it can get, I think. And that last picture...more cosplayers should inject emotion like that. You're an innovator. Simply stunning.

Hi All!

I'm new here but I do believe I am in the right place! I'm an actress working on a Tomb Raider fan short and I'm looking for some costume help. First I should note that I am NOT out to copy one particular Lara look completely. Instead I am mixing and matching (because of the time frame in which the film takes place) but two things I am looking for are the gun holster, I DO like the one from the new game... and I LOVED yours TheLadyNerd!

any help locating that would be greatly appreciated.

Also the necklace. I found a girl who does a nice one on youtube, messaged her hoping to get one but if not i'd like a back up option. I am somewhat limited to time, this will shoot in beginning of JUNE!
