Howdy folks,

Just wondered if anyone has had anything from Todds Costumes sent to the UK?

Been umming and ahhing about the best way to get my hand on a DL44. Trying to track down a replica mauser and the parts available in the UK is proving to be a bit of pain (hence contemplating ordering a kit inc mod ready denix)

Im open to other suggestions too!

Thanks in advance!

He has assured me that he has shipped these previously: "I have sent the Blasters to every continent and have not had a problem." Even so he is sending me a dissembled version.

Would very much like to know if anyone has/has not received one in 2016?

Amazing! Could you let me know if you have any problems receiving it? I have family in the states hat i could send to but would be worried about them sending it on and there being some problems with importing the denim part.

Very exciting!

Best place for a Denix replica Mauser would be an arms & militaria fair. Mine came from a big one in Newark and it cost less than £50. Soldier of Fortune have them for about the same:

These events are amazing, if you share a car and stick in some fuel money the cost of travel needn't be that high. It's day out (take sandwiches & a flask, though) and you'll see things you wouldn't believe. I've lucked on a very high quality resin cast of the booster for a Kenobi saber and a Master Replicas Maul saber. The Mauser was given a real wooden grip upgrade for about £12 (from memory). One stall at the last one I went to had a Pulse Rifle on display amongst the WWII de-acts, which was a good price but still a bit much for me. They generally take cash and they might even do you a deal if you have a chat and show an interest.

Will defy look out for fairs. I had a look at the one in the link before but as i am not a member of a re-enactment group or anything i couldn't buy.

Pretty sure most places in the UK won't sell you a Denix unless you can prove you're a member of a re-enactment group.

Some of the sellers at these fairs operate from a tabletop with a money belt, a receipt book and a mobile phone. It would probably be a pain to check a membership card was genuine & valid if you produced one.
I've never mentioned membership of anything and never been asked. The guys there have turned up to make some money, they'll happily take yours if you look old enough and sensible enough. I'm not condoning illegal behaviour, of course, just describing my own experiences.

Importing any realistic replica firearm is going to be a risk. I would go with the store mattycsi has linked above over importing from the USA, as it is in Spain, part of the EU. This means no customs duties, and less scrutiny than international shipping. You should still be aware that there is no guarantee of receipt of the item, as technically it illegal under VCRA unless partly painted a bright colour.
