TMNT Ooze Canister

Just starting to get my feet wet in replica props. Cklinejr definitely inspired me to give it a go. Apologies for the cell pics. I'll get a real camera soon.

Started with a vase and two pvc pipe reducers. Dremel'd the heck out of the reducers until they were the right shape.

Bondo'd the ends up nice and thick, then sprayed them with the closest available paint. Sealed the vase with a circle of acrylic and super glue. The ooze is pearlized hand-soap with green coloring. Cut out the holes in the end caps.

Made up a quick base out of acrylic with weld-on.

Final result. Not as pretty as Cklinejr's, but it'll work for my budget and my living room. Thanks for looking!

Nice canister! I love how you made the ooze. The display is a nice touch, too. If I were you, I'd track down the Ice Man and have him sign it. Then you'll have one serious conversation piece on your hands. Yup yup.

I'm a total turtle head, myself. I've been looking for years for somebody willing to sell me one of the real canister props. Absolutely fell in love with the second movie ever since seeing it in theaters as a kid.

Out with the gladiator, baby.

i have an original stunt canister with PVC side logo plates that would disagree with you. all of the original canisters i've had with foil tape looked to be pre-production pieces. of course, i'm not saying foil wasn't use on the screen canister props...

I said non hero, I should have specified further.

There were three versions:
1) Hero
2) Stunt
3) Background

The background canisters were the ones that had the foil.
They were the ones in the rack and were what Mikey picks up at TGRI Lab.
