I was a 2nd AC for years and would have loved to have one of those Raiders-era clapboards to use on set! Heck, I still would. I believe A New Hope used the same one ... So cool!!

The most iconic slate of them all: JAWS clapperboard

(a bit hard to make). I took as ref two slates ( the one that was used for the extra shooting on Verna's swimming pool with Metz on the camera and the one used during filming with Butler on the camera).
I had to "come up with a new opening device" as I could not run the iron bars through the "teeth" as in the originals.
