Titanic 3D. That's right I said it lol.

Just saw it tonight on free passes. I like the movie, always have. (Am I losing the little credibility I have?) lol. Anyways I just like it, mostly to do with the production design and tremendous detail etc and I'm a huge Cameron fan. It was cool to see it on the big screen again. Not a single alteration that I could see, nice solid original job from the first time around. See Lucas!, people like the way thing are originally if it's successful. The 3D was well done, placed and another round of kudos for Cameron by no gimmick shots, everything was naturally layered. It's exactly what it is, Titanic in 3D. If you like the movie it's worth seeing for the theatre experience in sight and sound and the 3D parts where the ship is on end etc was really well done and not overdone. Of course the talkers in the back that we had escorted out because me and the GF have zero tolerance for ignorant people. I said to the guy when we left as they were sitting at the bar "I was just wondering how much I had to pay you, because speaking parts in film have to be compensated." He looked at me stunned. Anywayz it's exactly what it is. Love it or hate it this movie is a reason for huge screens and awesome sound.

Did they clean up & redo the green screen shots. I hope they covered up some of the glaring little mistakes throughout the film with added FX this time around. Once you've seen them. They're hard to not see, and in 3D they would standout even more.

You know come to think of it the black was black. The background wasnt washed out and definitely the stars looked really really good. Im thinking that the quality of the green screen etc was worked on. Also I didnt notice the wrinkly rubber foam boat parts when people hit them. I havent really researched alot about the rerelease but maybe they went in and did some of the small whoops from before. But absolutely the black and really dark shots did look tremendous. The part where Rose leans over the stern at the beginning and when the stern is vertical probly has to be two of the best 3D shots in 3D films I have seen IMO. The distancing was perfect without being exaggerated.

Prop Store asked on their Facebook page if people were going to see the film and all the haters came out of the woodwork. It was quite "colorful". I was a bit disturbed by it. I think no one ever told some people that its ok to be a well rounded geek and like other things besides just sci fi. Even if you don't like the story, I hope it can be appreciated for the astounding production value. The sets and costumes are works of art. I think Cameron did a fine job honoring those who were aboard.

I consider Titanic along the same lines as Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith...pretty good movie ruined by a lame love story. :lol

It was awesome in 3D, a real cinematic experience. The 3D was subtle in places but had great depth in others, it certainly added to the immersive experience, and seeing the film on the big screen again was brilliant.

Truly a classic in my opinion.

Exactly how I felt. Especially about the 3D. it was really subtle and then the serious distance parts really stood out. I think I may go see it again now. I'll give Cameron more money, I think always have liked his style and love his adventurous spirit. I'd rather support a guy like that than some "Other" big filmakers that really never give anything back. As for the movie itself the scene that really gets me is the far away shot with the flare going up and it;s dead quiet. There's nothing but the ship in the middle of the ocean and in that one shot you realize how isolated and alone they are with no chance of any rescue.
