TitanFall Foam Helmet Build

Hey Guys! It's been a while since I last posted! However I haven't stopped building. I apologize for the lack of posts. I just find myself getting so caught up in the builds that it gets done before I think, "Hey maybe I should take a picture!" But this time I luckily took some pictures.

So before this build I was building a Dead Space 2 Security helmet. I then came across a file for this TitanFall helmet on the 405th. I knew I had to pause my Dead Space 2 helmet because I was very excited for TitanFall. When I started to build this helmet I had to make a foam template. It went a lot smoother than I thought it was gonna go.

This is the build currently. Here is a picture of the actual helmet.

How the devil are you doing this! Looks great. I just can't seem to wrap my mind around making a helmet from nothing but foam. I could cover something in foam, but can't make it from scratch. How did you get the initial head size/shape or is it just a LOT of trial and error

I can't believe I'm going through the same process like you're. I was making the DS2 security helmet, then someone at 405th uploaded whole bunch of pdo files for Titanfall. I switch to make Titanfall helmet right now. I agree that using foam is much easier than making the paper model and then resin and then sanding... it's forever.

I like the militia helmet more than the IMC helmet.

Btw, I am making the smart gun with 2 dollarshop guns combined.

Thanks Mgbox! The pepakura file I got came with the size of 374 mm in height and the program calculated the rest.

I stopped using fiberglass and bondo a while ago because the process was way to long. The militia helmet is really cool! I'm sure someone will make a model of it soon. Also good luck on the smart gun. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Bondo is just too annoying to use. It's too heavy and it crushes the paper, so we have to fiberglass inside first. It smells bad and it takes forever to dremel it...

I have switched to foam with modpodge. It's quick and easy.

By the way, I have already finished the smart gun and I posted it in one of those threads regarding titanfall game. I'll open a new thread about the smart gun. I am making C.A.R. SMG right now.

Amazing and i know its out of eva foam so if u have a youtube account i would subscribe and do a tutorial i want yo make one
