I am a newbie to weathering. I have not built a model for about 7 years, and I just finished my Finemolds TIE fighter, and am almost ready to start weathering on my Fine Molds X-Wing. However, I want the weathering to look as good as possible, and I have come to understand that pastels are the best way to achive a realistic "sooty" kind of look, and oil paints for the more "greasy" kind of look. Oil washes I can do just fine, but have no idea how to do pastels... anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to get started on this?
