Tips hiding crotch bulge? (a spandex costume)

Fast easy way is you can sew or tape a thin braw cup in the costume. Or if your costume is tight enough it will hold it in place. This hides any definition and is not too bulky like some cups.

Just bought a dance belt and it does take some getting used to, before that I was doubling up on some underwear called "jockey pouch" by jockey brand. They did a good job at hiding the old spider-mushroom lol, but you get underwear lines though.

Yea I made the mistake of going the cup route once and wore it to comic-con in my Scarlet Spider costume. While standing it wasn't a big deal but every time I crouched or took any "spider pose" it would bulge out and look insane, think porn star insane. I actually had a guy make a "job" offer to me. A bit awkward for me, though kinda funny. So that was the end of that idea. The Under Armor compression shorts work just as well as a dance belt without being a thong which is nice.

Just a note: the dance belt is the best option, just remember that you will be wearing a thong-Hello, Vicar!

I actually found the dance belt made things more obvious and not less. I have gone with compression shorts since then and they worked better for me.

heheh, I never served, but I have seen Full Metal Jacket about a hundred times. ;)

And I'll consider the compression shorts too. Thanks!

Actually, another undersuit will do the job. I have been wearing masked rider, and power ranger suits. The thickness of the undersuit matters too. The thicker it is. It won't show as much "detail":lol

Agreed. I wear a blue lycra body suit under my spidey as well as using the ol 'tuck' method. No bulge, no vpl.

I actually did that one Halloween for my Dr. Frank-N-Furter costume. It looked fine at first, but as the night went on and I became more and more drunk, the sock kind of unraveled into a weird mess.

Thanks for the input everyone, several different options to experiment with now!

Yeah, don't do the sock method. You'll go from "Ken doll bump", to moose knuckle, to squid crotch, and that's never something to put forward. =P

Get a proper athletic cup at a sports store, duct tape the vent holes so that it's smooth (if you can't find a smooth finish variety, well powder your junk with Gold Bond to avoid sweat rot, add cup to costume, then save the day!

Hahahah, definitely.

Hiding...?

Yes, hiding. It's actually for my protection, and the protection of my costume. If I were to go strutting around a convention all bulged out, and girls start catching glimpses of my fun bits, it would be all over. I'd be mobbed, and my costume would be ripped off me. All that hard work, destroyed in an instant. You know how it goes. I'd rather avoid that.

Does anyone make rubber undies? Maybe a pair one size too small would work. You might get some crotch rot and swamp butt after a day wearing them.

Right now it looks like I'll be going with the compression shorts. I'd go with the dance belt, but thongs just aren't comfortable. Compression shorts would be comfortable, and offer great ventelation. Also, I wouldn't have to worry about underwear lines showing through. Either way, I plan on powdering everything down to help avoid crotch rot and swamp ass.

Awe, man! I totally forgot... shrinkage! Just sit for 30 minutes or so in a tub of really cold water. You'll go from bulge to inverted bulge. It'll stay like that for awhile! Back to the tub when "the dark bulge rises." ;)
