Tintin's rocket

Well, after years of wanting one TazMan has a licensed STL file on his Website Cults3D page and found a person to print it for me.
The engineering was so well done that I could've put it together blind. Taz even put little holes in the wing + body as to secure them into the body and insure solidity:cool::cool:(y)(y)
Three parts (and the engine) for the main body and 3 parts for the winged feet.
I'll spare you the description of sanding, filling and more sanding (you all know the drill:p;)). After four coats of grey paint filler it looked like this first pic.
Then the red color (another 4 coats) and the measuring/masking of the white squares and mucho Tamiya tape, the result at the end.
Finally, my mug and the size of the rocket: three feet and two inches all in all.:love:
Big thanks to TazMan and his help finding 3-D printers in Ottawa.(y)(y)

Wow! I'm really impressed. I've seen a lot of my designs printed out before, but the care that went into sanding and painting this is incredible. I never thought it could look so good.

It's because of you Taz that I was able to do so:love::love::cool::cool:(y)(y) Btw, the pilot holes you designed to affix the wings onto the main body were puzzling me:unsure: I mean in terms of rod size...I found a solution: wire clothe hanger from my local dry-cleaner; the perfect size and mighty sturdy:p:p(y)

The holes were just markers or pilot holes, so you could drill them to a size you need.
