the cut has a sort of vine like flower thing going up it just a bit, maybe about 4 to 5 inches in full scale
then the frayed side has only 3 flowers.
they all have like gold and a wind swept look
then there is one right about were the 10/6 card goes

here is a scarf i made for a client so you can see how i did it

here is another from a Hat set i sold a while back

and if anyone is interested i make them from silk
they are 30 a pop

Are you cutting your scarves on the bias or the straight? I'm assuming on the straight to offer that great of a price for silk? Cutting on the bias gives it a really nice drape but for a scarf that long, you'd have to charge double at least. Good job though. The frays look really nice.

Based on some of the photos I have seen it looks like the flowers are on the entire scarf. I am putting mine on the frayed side though.

The other you can see it towards the back of his hat which tells me there may be more stitching than on just the ends.

Conner- The scarf looks awesome. Thanks for the pics. It's so helpful to see it spread out and see the cut of the non-frayed side. So what do you charge for the scarf in 1/6? :lol

eyeshadow... they're usually around like $5-7 bucks... just send her in there, she'll find it no problem.

just tell her to get one with lots of bright colours, including the ones you need...sometimes they have them in pastels or metallics... obviously youll just want the bold normal colours for Hatter.

This is what mine looks like... it was 6 bucks

They are usually on a tower close to the register that is filled with nothing but make-up. They come in long trays like this one with smaller wells of eyeshadow and larger trays that are round with bigger eye shadow wells.

Ooo, that's not what mine looks like. Mine is a black cirlce that opens up into to "layers". It's got like, lip gloss, and a few other things inside of it. It's got "Claire's comsetics. Make up kit "coffret de maquillage (fancy. ) on the top of it.

There's 14 eyeshadows in the top layer, 6 lip glosses in the next, and then there's 3 more (bonus. :lol) lip glosses on the bottow part, with a thing of mascara, and 3 brushes.

Man...I'm ate up. :lol :lol :lol

There's also a mirror in the lid! :lol

For you boys who feel a little leery about going into a brick and mortar store to buy makeup, coastalscents.com sells some awesome palettes of very bright, very pigmented eyeshadows (near MAC dupes) for extremely good prices.

Great idea-- I currently am using this fabric thats black base with silver circles printed on it in a legging and long sleeve shirt... I actually bought some silver spray paint to mist over it, I'm glad to hear it worked for ya.

What did you use for your skirt? I'm gonna end up using cheapy chain laced with leather strips and some beads for weighing it down a bit. I'm despirately trying to source a belly dancer belt skirt thing to make it a bit easier...

My skirt is all leather. I still have to add the chain in the front but I keep getting sidetracked by other projects.

The "scales" are little fish body shaped pieces of leather. Lots of them. The leather skirt portion was already silver, but I had to spray paint the fishies. I originally glued them on due to time constraints but they really do need to be properly sewn on. I sometimes leave fishy bread crumbs. One of my best friends then hand painted each one to give it the appearance of depth and shape and once again I ran out of time and had to glue them back on. As you can see....that's not a great plan as they can shift and sit crooked. I'm going to have to take the time to pull them all off, punch holes in them and sew them to the base.

The strips in the front will look better once the chain is added and they are properly trimmed etc. I had a problem with the length being just right....but short enough not to catch under my shin/knee armor. I pulled one totally off first time I wore it that way. I also have to do some padding with the armor. Mine is steel and while not heavy it does rub in ways that my other plastic costume armor does not. But each time I wear it I solve a new issue. I was having an issue with the shin armor getting a little hard on the arch of my foot when walking lots. But I easily solved that last time with putting a clear gel pad meant for the ball of your foot in high heels on top of my boot and problem solved. I find it to be a VERY comfy costume now. So just little tweaks here and there and I'll be super happy.

I just can't get over how absolutely great your armor looks. Its so impressive, and incredibly accurate... Saying mine is 'inspired by' is an understatement... I had to mod the shape of the chest, being that I'm a little too busty to make a flatish front work for me (that shape was causing me to look as wide as I am tall.. so it got modded more into a bodiceish shape.) So its turned from moderately accurate to very inspired by all these great designs.

My plan for the shins is to articulate the part that goes over the foot from the boot, so hopefully it won't rub too much. But some extra padding wouldn't hurt at all

Thanks so much for the skirt advice... I couldn't find any chain I liked, so I ended up finding some large silver fishnet mesh, that I'll use as a base.. but it'll be swapped out as soon as I find something better. As for the skirt, I'll be working on that tonight... hopefully, I'll have it ready for pics late tonight
