Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

Hey everyone im selling my Hat pin set, scarf and card
i posted the link in the Junkyard
so go check it out

and also i thought of this watching Richard's dance vid
(cause his scarf slips when he puts it back on)
to keep the scarf from shifting, coming loose, or untied
use some dress makers pins to hold it in-place

i know Richard uses one of Chad's Hat scarves and i just switched to the one he sent me a while back
and as lovely as it is is doesn't want to stay tight, well nothing will in a knot like that.
so i pulled it nice and tight (cause the wrinkles in the front look better and will keep there shape if the scarf is tight) and stuck 2 little dress makers pins (the tiny ones with the flat heads) though the scarf and into the hat.
the top part of the scarf that goes over the knot hides them so no one will ever know

just a helpful hint to keep your scarf looking good ^^

Walked into an Antique store today, and found a box of about 400 vintage spools. :confused I got these 4 for a buck. :) I didn't have any ref pics. with me, and unfortunatly, I had to pick out as many small ones as I could, because I was out of time before I even started going though them. I went though the 3 story store, and found these walking out. :wacko

But some say their thread was even mercurized. :lol

The vintage spools are all alot larger than the modern ones. I'll most proboly mix and match them, and since I have so many extras (enough for an another belt....) I'll either sell the extras towards halloween, or make another belts and sell it.

they look cool

mine is mixed and matched cause 13 out of the 25 are vintage with there original thread still on them
the others were ons i had to fill myself

and i say sell a whole bandoleer you could make bank on it

I'm thinking towards Halloween, I could proboly sell one...And mabey even pay for evrything I bought for the MH in general. :D

UM, he does indeed wear suspenders, Heath knows, Heath knows!!!! :lol :D :p ;)

Wow, those shots are fantastic. Nice and clear, that's very cool. Thank you again! Enspecialy considering you bought the knock off DVD; Alicia in Margaritaville.

:lol :lol :lol :p ;)

EDIT - We just threaded my first spool too. A modern one. It didn't fit on the sewing machine, but I have hope that the ones for the 50's might be able to be respooled by machine. :D

i think i mentions this
used a drill. just find a bit for it that fits just snugly into the spool then glue the end of the thread to the spool
then you put the plastic bobbin on the sewing machine so it has something to spin on
and let the drill do its thing

Yes the pants are very similar to the WahMaker versions over at Gentleman's Emporium. I was going to buy the burgundy color but the problem is that the boot cut is far too thin down the leg to easily create the highwater flare! I didn't end up going with that style.

If someone could sew the same design but add more flare to the pant leg that would be ideal. I added suspenders to my pants.

Anyway to get those images HI RES??? For those of us that have to wait until June 1st? Not the one of you but the MH!!

Wow! Proof that the button sizes on the brown coat are different sizes. Nice image of the coat before distressing. Almost burgundy. It also appears that the pants have a leather tab on it for hanging the scissors. NICE! Back to the workshop!!!!!

Let me rephrase the statement.

"It is nice to see the coat in plain form before any distressing is done to any of them"

I didn't necessarily mean that this was his pre-distressed brown coat just that it is nice to see the material in its unblemished form.

It makes me wonder if, on that one, they even bothered to do the multi-layered silk. Unless they were doing like an assembly line, I wouldn't think they'd bother if they knew it wasn't going to need that distressed look.
