Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

Nick, somewhere deep down inside, a twisted part of me would kinda like to see you try that. :lol

I realized today that I hadn't taken any pictures with the new hat on, so you get a better idea of just how huge it really is. It was a day for some good light as well, so I took more pictures of it. I'm done with this sucker, I don't want to touch it anymore! haha (but I'm sure I'll find a reason to anyway)
But knowing I've finally gotten the most challenging piece of the outfit out of the way, makes me feel more at ease about making the rest of it. It'll be refreshing to finally start working on something different.

So my friends threw me a suprise party for my birthday, and all I was told was to wear a Costume. Now, I know that there are alot of inaccuracies (and thanks to this super annoying kid on myspace I now know SPECIFICALLY what is wrong:angry which is stupid because for tonight I wasn't going for screen accurate anyway) I thought Y'all might get a kick out of it. I'll post pics one of these days will the right accessories and make-up, but for now here ya go.

You look pretty darn good if I do say so myself! :D

Where did ya get your pants embroidered at? And how about some pics. of your vest and stuff individualy? I'd realy like to see them. :D

I embroidered the pants myself, and they've been flattened by everything else in my closet so the flair at the bottoms was smushed, which made me sad. But yeah later today I'll stick pictures up of everything. I'll need to shrink them all down first.....

Ok so, Heres the Vest pattern On an Unfinished Vest:

Ok I think thats it, every picture I want Y'all to see and in turn want feedback on. I know the squares on my vest are too big, hence why I made the new one with the tiny squares.

Is anyone working on the Mad Hatter hat? I need a shot of the pins he has in his hat.

Look on the previous page. If you're looking for film reference pics, the best is the on the original teaser poster. Otherwise do a few google/flikr searches for the Alice exhibit in San Diego, there are a few high res pics of a stunt hat of sorts, but that one was missing a couple of pins, and a piece was missing from another.

thats awesome you made one for your niece to. whos that chick snow white?

She is indeed Snow white. She is the Snow White from the Neil Gaimen short story "Snow, Glass, Apples" in which snow white is a vampire and the "evil" queen is trying to get rid of her and her evil. Her heart has been ripped out, hence my loverly make-up job on the chest.

Ok so I feel like I am taking crazy Pills, I am making myself a new, more screen accurate Hatter coat and I need to know y'alls opinion: Is his coat double vented in the back? you can't really tell from pictures but the Mezco toy makes it look like it is.
THOUGHTS??? I don't want to go ahead and do it and then be mocked should I bump into more freaks like me!

Randy & the rest of the guys at NECA are usually on the ball when it comes to details. So if they put side vents into their toy's coat, then chances are it's got side vents.
Of course if Disney didn't provide them with reference of the back, then it could be a bit of artistic license. But Disney is usually pretty thorough when it comes to bringing the reference to their licensees.
So my vote is on side vents.

Wait a minute, that's not NECA, I had assumed they were the ones making it. I've not looked much at that figure before, but only now did I notice the Sideshow blurb.

But NECA or not, Disney usually gives out great reference pictures. I still say go with the vents.

I am thinking of doing the White Queen costume for D*C...would love some more pretty dresses as I think I will be pretty SW'd out after CV.

Omg I would LOVE to see you do that, you'd be gorgeous as her. (You and me both, SW'ed out...clone warsed out really lol). I too can send you a slew of hi-def ref pics we got at SDCC, including some really detailed shots of the necklace. The more ref pics people can send your way the better! :)
You thinking to do this maybe for D*Con?
