TIE-pilot helmet and armor...

hey people,

I already own a Tk and my next project would be a TIE-pilot...


Tried to contact a source i got from some fellow-troopers but didn't get any reply...

anyone have a good source for TIE-helmets and armor that are affordable?
any help?

Sgt. Fang also makes tie helmets cast from a DP helmet. Very affordable, but not 100% accurate.

LAWs does great stuff!

But technically this thread is a no no. as it is pretty much a WTB thread in the costume section as opposed to the JunkYard...

Laws is so Backed up at the moment you are looking at a possible 6 month wait.

That is just a guess...I know some people at the moment who have waited since 2008 for some of his work. Dont get me wrong but if the bucks are made there shouldn't be a 6 month wait. If it needed to be made understandable but If you have the plastic and molds.. Sorry not gonna happen. I love his work. I have a Laws Tie kit

With some things, it really pays off to wait a bit!
Trust me on that.

Id rather wait a bit than buy some cheap alternative thatll fall apart if you look at it in a funny way.

Just get on JRS and contact Dark Agent. He makes a nice Tie Bucket he is listed in the base exchange there

I know guys that have waited two years for stuff and it's all gone quiet from DL. So I would be weary of ordering anything until he get is back orders shipped out. He'll say no problem, send me your money and wait wait wait............ It is good stuff but it doesn't excuse bad business relations between him and payed up customers. He could at least let people know exactly when their orders are going to turn up. Not take the money and not deliver.
I would love to own some DL helmets but I cannot give money away for nothing.(again!!!)
Sorry to rant but people should know.

I haven't ordered from Dan, I ordered a suit and two lids from TE and I've been waiting a year for them. Spoke to TE the other day and he has assured me that they are coming.........we'll see.
Both DL an TE know each other very well and used to work together on the TK stuff alot and they both seem to have the same business sense too......they treat you like buddies, take your money then when you ask for your goods they go quiet or give you every excuse under the sun why you haven't received your stuff yet.
They are some of the best armor and bucket makers out there and they originally made it possible for us to have screen accurate casted stuff but that good name doesn't excuse making people wait for years to receive their goods. If you cannot deliver don't take the money.
There are other makers out there that give great customer satisfaction so do look around. but if you still want a DL wait and see what happens first with the back orders.

When my TE stuff does finally arrives I'll probably be screaming from the rooftops in joy and excitement but that day hasn't arrived yet and hasn't arrived for alot of DL customers either.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Unfortunately in Dans case he bit off more than he could chew. Please don't think I'm attacking the man personally. He makes killer stuff and yes to a point is worth waiting. Again I have a Laws kit and would buy other stuff from him I just know that at the moment the man is Waaaaaaaay behind and is struggling to get some stuff out. I love his work. Maybe he needs a Cabana Boy to help.

Yeah,
I'm not attacking DL or TE they do make special stuff. It's just not fair to the paying people to be left waiting for years....... One lesson that should be learnt don't bite of more than you can chew.
