Thunder and SeaQuest Boat

Anyone know what happened to the boat "Thunder" that they used it Hulk Hogan's "Thunder in Paradise"? And maybe a back story? Man that thing was sweet....

Whoa...now there's a blast from the past!! Good question!

Some quick digging resulted in finding a forum with a guy who says:

"it was bought by a friend in 1996 or 1997. It had 502/415hp Mercs with Bravos. The canopy was removed and the boat was completely redone by Kurt K in Monmouth IL. It was converted to pleasure and sold to a gentleman in Missouri. Last I heard, the boat still resides in LOTO. It was all white with THUNDER written in purple down the side."

Thanks, Monster Dave! Seems alot have never heard of it i know only a handful I work with did! The show was VERY corny but that boat was so awesome and those Mercs were monsters! Lol the Scarab is a very fast boat and from what I see they used two in the show, one a 43' and a 38' monster boats! Lol

I remember the show, it filmed all over Disney World. Also known as the show that killed Chris Lemmon's career.

Hey, since we're on to obscure vehicles, anyone know what happened to the speedboat seen in the Season 2 episode of Seaquest 'Daggers' - the blue (inline) two-seater with the maroon insert? I can't even find a screen shot!!

My cousin was a (or the) design engineer on this boat. He worked for a custom boat company in Miami, FL. (area). He also designed a cigarette racing boat for Don Johnson (Miami Vice era)
He went on to (and continues) a long career as a design engineer at Ford.
